At 36 years old I fell pregnant and that was when my whole life changed. I went from being a successful computer applications specialist , party and dancing girl, to a full time wife, mother, task master, shopper, health nut, trainer, household manager, business owner, cook and baker, just to name a few. Basically, it was motherhood and mothering, and to me, it was tough.

Although happy about my new little one, and determined to be the best mom ever, by the time the first year had passed I felt like I had aged 25 years. Although busy as heck, I was also bored, fatigued, fed up, it seemed like I was never having any fun. I missed the nights of dancing, partying, staying out late and never having to worry about responsibilities at home. I missed the little freedoms that people without kids take for granted – but most of all, I missed myself and who I used to be. The idea that I was responsible for a little life made me stressed out and often times depressed at the thought of doing it all wrong. Nevertheless, I wanted to find a way to laugh everyday like I used to when out with my friends and dancing, as apposed to being a constant task master and constantly advising what to do and what not to do and how to do this or that.

One day, while chatting to a friend, who seemed to have it all together, I got such a shock when she said to me, “I love my kids, but there has to be more to my life then this or I am going to lose my head!” She and I both agreed that the days for us lacked fun and excitement and although we were proud of our developed motherhood skills, and proud of the job we were doing, all the more reason we deserved to have some fun in the midst of everyday mothering.

Then it occurred to me that although grown up fun doesn’t usually mix with kiddie fun, I could still find ways of putting a little craziness into the day that would leave lasting memories for the family, make me laugh, and above all else, feel alive.

Here are some of the crazy, fun, out of the ordinary things I have done with my kids to add laughter, smiles, and memories, and have given me a sense of fun ever day.  They also make for great stories to tell friends and family and have added value and life to my journey as a mom.

1. Feeling tired and just want to put your feet up for 5 minutes? How about doing it at the beauty salon? Give your child a brush, hair clips and a mirror and let them do your hair. Most kids love this and it also gives mom a chance to put her feet up and relax for a while.

2. Need your child to relax, not be so hyper and chatty? Give them a baby massage. This massage benefits child and parent. Follow the massage with a cup of herbal baby tea and honey. This also offers your child health benefits and for mom it offers a quiet, calm household for at least a little while. You will love it when afterward your child cuddles close to you and you can smell the essence of the massage oil you used and the atmosphere in the house.

3. At the end of year, take a family photo and choose a theme. Everyone has to dress up to match the theme. Have one nice photo taken and one silly one. Each year when you hang the new photos, you and you kids can laugh and remember things that took place when you took the previous picture.  A useful accessory to motherhood is the ability to take captivating, skillful pictures.

4. Want your hubby to know just how hard your job of mothering is? Switch roles! You are sure to come out of it with a big prize when he sees what you have to deal with and how gracefully you do it everyday. Take photographs of him and his facial expressions while he is struggling through the simplest things, or when the kids throw food on him, or when he looks like he can’t stand for another minute. When he puts the kids to bed, take one last photo of him. Print the photos and put them in a special book to show your kids and share with friends – trust me, it’s a real laugh!

5. Barney, Tweeney’s, cartoons? – Blah! Turn your kids on to Bob Marley, Black Eye Peas and Gwen Stefani. Let them move and groove to the music. Give each one a present for doing a dance show for you. Take pictures for you and the kids to laugh at later. You will marvel at your mothering when you see how not only adorable they are but how their little bodies are so uncoordinated and how they move so adorably. You will have a smile on your face for hours and your child is sure to come up with a funny dance move that you can imitate and make them laugh. Not to mention this is great exercise for the kids.

6. Go the movies – no baby sitter necessary! Take your baby to the movies. (Infants love the dark, and loud trailers make them snooze immediately.) Munch on your goodies in peace and enjoy the flick – without the fifty million interruptions!

7. Let them help you escape. Let your kids be the excuse to do the things you want to do, like hopping out for a manicure or pedicure, having an unusually junky meal for dinner, or going to an amusement park. Use your kids as an excuse for not doing things you don’t want to do or don’t feel like doing. Believe me, there are perks to motherhood and you deserve to use them!

8. Every Mother’s Day, have a picture taken with your kids. Store the pictures and the keep sakes from your kids in a nice box (let your kids decorate it and gain some time for yourself in the process). Every year visit the box and see how much your kids have grown and how much their crafts, coloring, writing, and drawing skills have improved.

9. Give your kids quiet time every day. Teach your kids to play independently with books, crayons, blocks, and music. These are just a few healthy ideas. When your children learn to play on their own in frees mom up to get tasks done in a reasonable amount of time, without all the interruptions. It also gives mom an opportunity to have a chat with a friend on the phone, which I am sure you will all agree would be a nice piece of grown up time. It is also very beneficial for your kids.

10. PJ Day is one of my favorites! The kids, well, lets just say they wish everyday was PJ day. Mom and kids hang out in their PJ’s all day. Matching PJ’s are extra fun! Eat your favorite foods and watch your favorite movies. Kids can watch their movies on a laptop while mom watches hers on the TV. Lay out drinks and snacks so they won’t disturb you for these things.

11. Star Gaze the night away. Tent up in your backyard with a radio, s’mores and other great camp out food and drink. Use it as your reading room or to star gaze. Kids can star gaze and play while mom reads in the tent.

12. Do you have a house fairy? No! Well, you had better put one in place as soon as possible. Invent a house fairy, give her a cool name and tell the kids she is always watching them and keeping track of all their good deeds and naughty means.

13. When your child falls asleep at night. Lay next to him and absorb his sweet baby smell and listen to him breath. This experience will relax you, and will add one of the warmest memories to your collection of motherhood.

14. The Laugh Master Game. Have fun, be a kid, be a little crazy and make them laugh. It’s contagious and you will soon all be laughing together. Embrace their laughter, their smiles, their funny faces, and their out of breath flops when they are pooped out from laughing. My little one is pooped out after this and usually falls asleep just after dinner.

Motherhood is a wonderful part of life but requires that we constantly give of ourselves.  Learning to find fun and laughter in the things we do and the ability to laugh when we don’t feel like it is a gift worth giving yourself. It makes us all the more better at what we do – for ourselves and our kids.

Tips and ideas abound regarding basic photography, but when it comes to taking birth photos, very little information can be found. Here you will find helpful information that will breathe your two dimensional pictures to life.

Digital “point and shoot” cameras have changed photography forever. It is now possible to take hundreds of pictures without worrying about the cost of developing them. Yet most of those types of cameras have one annoying feature: the delay from pushing the button to when the camera actually clicks the shot. Because of this, it is vital to anticipate different parts of the labor and birth, paying attention so you don’t miss the actual moment you are looking for. A remedy for this delay is having a higher quality camera. Digital SLRs (single lens reflex) and the more expensive point and shoots eliminate the delay and in some instances, offer a rapid firing of the lens and flash. This is especially important during the exact moment of birth; capturing the baby coming out challenges even the most seasoned photographer.

One common mistake is standing too far away from the action or not having the lens tight enough to capture the nuances distant shots just cannot see. Bring your focus in so you are able to see the laboring woman’s furrowed brow, the comforting hands or the strands of hair matted to her face. Focus the lens directly on those observations –close– and do not worry about getting everything in the frame. Actually, the less extraneous the background, the better; the camera sees everything from the peeling wallpaper to the sweat under her nose. Find a way to “see” the universality of the situation, yet also photographing her uniqueness. The family appreciates these types of very close shots.

If you will be the only birth photographer at a birth or two, working through tears adds a layer of difficulty to the job. If emotion sweeps over you and the camera is in your hand, use the auto-focus feature (if you have not been up to this time) so the photos are seen in their best light.

Birth photography, fleeting as it is, can be a magnificent gift to a woman and her family. While the click lasts less than a second, the presentation lasts a lifetime.

The cost of today’s average wedding has gotten so high, you might
think that the application of the word “budget” doesn’t apply.

Of course you’d be wrong.

Whether you’re spending $3,000 (far below average, even in the
least expensive areas of the U.S., but I know several people
who’ve done it quite successfully) or you’re spending $30,000
(only a bit about the average cost of a wedding today, so average
means plenty of people spend more), you still need a budget.

A budget isn’t necessarily an attempt to spend less. It’s a plan
for where you’ll spend the money you do spend, regardless of the
amount.

I hope you’re among the lucky few who can afford to spare no
expense when planning the wedding of your dreams. On the other
hand, I know some fairly wealthy people, and I don’t know anyone
who didn’t angst to a certain extent over the cost of their
wedding.

Most people simply can’t afford or just would rather not to empty
their savings and run up their credit for their wedding.
Weddings have this somewhat scary habit of being rapidly followed
by even MORE expensive things to spend your hard-earned money on,
more permanent things, like buying a house and having a baby (or
2).

Trickier still is the fact that many brides (the traditional
planners of weddings) are marrying a bit later in life, when
they’re well ensconced in a career and don’t have their weekdays
free for interviewing wedding vendors and sampling cake.

Do Wedding Planners Cost or Save?

Of course professional wedding planners have to be paid, so in
that way they obviously cost you. However an argument can be
made (and is made, both by wedding planners themselves and by
brides who’ve been happy with their professional planners) that
having a professional wedding planner can save you money in other
areas. An experienced wedding planner is involved in several
weddings each year. This means that they’ll have ongoing
relationships with certain wedding vendors, and it behooves those
vendors to cut the wedding planner a break on prices, so that
she’ll continue to use their services at all of the weddings
she’s involved with.

-Aside –

Not that it affects your budget, but it also behooves wedding
vendors to keep wedding planners happy with the service the
vendor provides. As an individual, you’re not likely to see
these vendors again after you finish your wedding (at least not
for a good long while, preferably not ever). A wedding planner,
on the other hand, will see these vendors again and again; she’s
a repeat customer for them.

Vendors will, of course, value a repeat customer more than a one
-time customer. They will convey this value with financial breaks
and extra-good service. If push comes to shove, they may convey
it by giving a wedding planner something (such as service on a
popular date or that includes a hand-to-find item) that they have
to take away from an individual bride. I know a bride who was
promised a wedding venue for a specific date and then a week
later the venue canceled on her, because they had a “repeat
customer” who wanted that date and was willing to pay extra. My
friend was not given the opportunity to pay extra or to outbid
the repeat customer. She just lost the date.

-Aside –

If you find a wedding planner with a great reputation (with both
brides and local vendors), you may get the best of everything: A
wedding planner who can easily get you top-notch vendors and
negotiate powerful bargains.

Even with a terrific wedding planner in your employ, you should
still do your own research and talk to your planner with a strict
budget in mind. If the planner can’t control costs
adequately, it’s always your responsibility to offer cost-saving
ideas of your own. If your wedding planner doesn’t stick to your
budget, then she’s the one who did a poor job, but it’s still you
who are out the money. The extra cost doesn’t come out of the
planner’s pocket!

Still, no wedding planner is likely to save you more than she
charges you. Hiring a wedding planner will result in higher
financial wedding costs for you. The area in which an excellent
planner will certainly save you, however, is in time. You’ll
need to invest far fewer hours toward organizing and ensuring the
details of your wedding if you hire a wedding planner than if you
don’t.

The question for you to answer is whether you have more time or
more money to invest in your wedding. Only you can answer that.

What’s The Cost

Wedding planners can charge you in any of three ways:

o A percentage of the total cost of your wedding

o An hourly charge

o A flat fee per specific services

Although it’s the least common, I recommend looking for vendors
who use the last of those options. The problem with the
percentage charge is that it creates an incredible conflict of
interest for the planner. In essence, the more your wedding
costs you, the more the planner gets paid. That’s the opposite
of how it should work, in my opinion! Most planners are ethical,
and they live and die by recommendations, so they’re unlikely to
triple your expenses just to increase their cut, but at some
level of consciousness, it’s just not encouraging them to watch
every penny in the way that I, personally, would like. If you’re
working with a planner who charges a percentage (15% is typical),
talk about paying them a percentage of your budgeted wedding
costs (rather than actual costs), plus a percentage of any amount
they can come in under budget. Essentially offer them a bonus
for coming in under budget. This will somewhat offset the innate
conflict of interest in the percentage-based payment structure.

An hourly fee at least solves the problem that the percentage fee
causes, but it causes an analogous problem with time. When a
wedding planner (or any vendor) charges you by the hour, they
lose their incentive to move fast, and you have very little
control over this. Since you’re not doing the work, it’s tough
for you to say exactly how long it should take. If you’re
working with a wedding planner who charges by the hour, set a
maximum number (or range) of hours you’ll pay for, while making
sure that the planner agrees that the maximum you set is an
adequate amount of time to plan your entire wedding.

Planners who charge a flat fee for each specific service they
provide give you great flexibility. You don’t have to hire them
to plan every part of your wedding. If you want them to handle
the venue and catering, while you hire your cousin’s band and
have your mom make your dress, you have lots of flexibility in
paying for just the services you need, but no others. Also, by
charging a flat fee per service, the planner maintains all normal
(and desirable) goals to get the work done quickly and
inexpensively. They don’t get paid more for failing at one of
those goals, as they do with the other payment methods.

Unfortunately, planners dislike this payment structure because
they fear that there will be something unusually difficult about
your wedding, and they’ll have to eat the cost of dealing with
it. Particularly wedding planners who are new to the field feel
uncomfortable trying to predict ahead of time how much time and
effort it will take to provide the services you require. If you
propose the use of this payment structure to a wedding planner
who normally charges differently, make it clear that you’re aware
of this concern and find it reasonable. Discuss the fact that
you’re willing to accept add-on charges (probably by the hour) if
an unusual situation, beyond the planner’s control, occurs. As
with all types of wedding planners, be sure to ask to speak to
references, and talk to these brides-who-have-gone-before-you
about exactly what the wedding planner did and didn’t do for each
service she provided.

Keep in mind that just because a particular wedding planner
usually charges clients a certain way, doesn’t mean they can’t
get paid by another method. Most wedding planners are freelance
agents, who can define their own rules for how they get paid.
Perhaps they’ve always charged percentages in the past, but that
doesn’t mean they couldn’t agree to get paid a flat fee for
specific services for your wedding, if that’s the only way you’re
willing to pay. Of course you must be aware that this also means
that they can walk away and not take you as a client, if they
really don’t want to accept the payment structure you’re
interested in.

Negotiate with a wedding planner just as you would with any other
vendor. Remember that you’re hiring them. They are your hired
help. If you don’t like their terms, you can find a different
wedding planner to contract with. You’re the one holding all the
cards. Play them.

Chief among the specialised skills that your business should outsource, you should outsource SEO content writing.

Writing SEO content is a specialisation that marries insight from two important areas: how the human psyche works, and how search engines crawl. In other words, the science of keyword analysis applied to the art of human communication.

SEO content development is more important than ever

It’s been maligned and misunderstood as trying to “game” search engines, but is it really an evil word, “SEO”? No.

According to the Wikipedia SEO content definition:

Search engine optimization (SEO) is the process of affecting the visibility of a website or a web page in a search engine’s “natural” or un-paid (“organic”) search results. In general, the earlier (or higher ranked on the search results page), and more frequently a site appears in the search results list, the more visitors it will receive from the search engine’s users.

As long as there are search engines, content will have to be optimised for search engines. As search engines become more “human”, backdoor tactics and deceptive methods will more and more become obsolete. And that’s a good thing for us all.

Now – more than before Google’s revolutionary algorithm changes of recent months – our chances of ranking high are better than ever. The scammers and spammers who used awkward tactics to block up our search engine results pages have been flushed away. But you still do need to understand how search engines “think”, if you want to score well with them and attract more traffic to your websites.

Is “outsource” an evil word, then?

Since SEO content writing is such an important and specialised skill, is it a mistake to outsource it?

Yes – if you outsource such crucial work to a part-timer working out of his parents’ bedroom halfway around the world. But if you hire a professional to provide a well-defined product into a well honed workflow: No, it’s definitely no mistake.

Outsourcing can open up a whole world of talent at your disposal, for a fraction of the cost of traditional employment. And thanks to the internet, you can quickly and easily take advantage of the global outsourcing company boom.

It used to be that you could just write keyword rich content and rank well

You know what those look like:

“Dog training trainers are always looking for the best dog training resources they can find. Unfortunately, dog training resources are not always available at dog training pet stores. However, at dogtraining.com, you can find all your dog training needs at our dog training website.”

Not only is copy like that annoying as heck to read, but it now gets penalised by Google’s algorithms.

Google is always trying to get its search engine to think more like a human – maybe one day it will, and “SEO content” will simply be called “content”. But until that day comes, if ever, SEO will always be an essential need for all businesses online.

  • Keyword stuffing is dead.
  • Indiscriminate backlinking is dead.
  • Deceptive methods are dead.
  • But SEO is alive and kicking harder than ever, especially with LSI.

LSI isn’t a drug, but it’s a cure.

Today, search engines use a methodology called Latent Semantic Indexing (LSI), which uses mathematical models to figure out the overall theme of a body of copy, the way people normally talk.

So, instead of ranking an article based on keywords, Google now ranks an article for using the key phrases that real people use when they talk about a given subject.

This means that today’s solid SEO content is creative SEO content. Unlike the bad old days of keyword stuffing, LSI themed keyword content reads and sounds the way a human speaks – because it uses the actual phrases that a real person would use.

3 reasons why you need outsourced content:

1. It keeps your content writing fresh

Writing new SEO content on a regular basis is not an easy task, but a dedicated SEO Content Writer can provide you with fresh SEO copy regularly, no problem.

2. Content writing for social media has gone SEO as well

Social media marketing begins with solid SEO content. How so? You want people to tweet, like, share and otherwise upvote your content. Which they can only do if:

  1. Your content is great and
  2. They can find your great content

A good SEO Content Writer hits both targets.

This goes for content writing for Facebook, Google+, blogs – everything.

3. Premium content is even central to video – which is skyrocketing in importance

Videos are based on scripts and introduced by copy on web pages, whether your own or on YouTube. This copy must be SEO copy.

What do you need to successfully outsource?

1. A well-defined workflow, eg, a website into which you simply plug and play solid content

2. A willingness to benefit from a world of top talent – not just what can be found in your particular geographical location

3. Expert SEO Content Writers who are well versed with what works in SEO today

There’s a difference between SEO Content Writers and conventional writers: professional SEO writing is qualified and optimised to be ranked highly by today’s search engine algorithms, whereas general writing is not.

Additionally, for English content, you want to make sure that you hire English-speaking writers. Native English-speaking writers can give you an edge that non-native speakers can’t.

Sidebar: Are you a Web design or SEO agency?

Do you offer an SEO reseller programme or maybe even run a turnkey SEO outsourcing agency? Professional writers can help you with white label SEO content.

Let’s say that you offer a complete marketing solution for online. This would include web page content, website design, blog content, hosting, SEO, SEM, PPC, etc. You would hire specialists to fill each of these roles: a designer for the website design, a webmaster to handle the hosting, a marketer to oversee the advertising campaigns and a writer to provide copy for the Web assets.

It pays to have a dedicated professional in each role; with outsourced SEO services, you can afford to hire a dedicated SEO Content Writer, not just general purpose writers.

To outsource successfully, outsource it to a professional, not a pretender

When you outsource content writing services, make sure you contract a supplier who provides premium online writing, not “content mill” hash. Your content reflects your company – and your clients.

Outsourcing to an SEO dedicated content writer can make the difference between having content that is loved by both people and search engines – or content that is simply fluff. A professional knows the tips to SEO content that converts.

Many business owners will here hear the phrase ‘search engine optimisation’ (or SEO) from friends in the business community or even competitors and may consider it as a route to increasing sales, but what is a good SEO agency? Alternatively, a business owner may have tried ‘SEO services’ in the past and found it either didn’t work as well as expected or was working, but no longer as effective – this article explains what SEO is, and why ‘new’ SEO is working better than ever.

I have been working in search engine optimisation and ranking website market, before it was even called SEO. Here are the changes in SEO since the start of the new millennium and what you should be looking for in the SEO services that your SEO Agency offers or provides.

We take a look back at SEO through the years and explain what SEO is today and how best to utilise it for our website.

SEO in 2000

Back at the start of the Millennium the ‘big’ search engines that most people were using were Lycos and Excite. Of course, back then a very small percentage of the UK population had access to the internet and those that did had a slow ‘dial-up’ system.

Websites were one or two pages with basic information to allow them to load quickly (within 20 seconds). SEO practices back then were to ‘hide’ as many keywords on a page as possible, so the website was found for those searches without making the page look to spammy for visitors.

In 2002 Google launched something called ‘AdWords’ and it was predicted to be the death of SEO, as people could pay for prominence, on the now the number 1 website for starting internet searches.

In 2003, Yahoo purchased Inktomi, AltaVista and FAST, which was basically the end of all of the ‘smaller’ search engines. Google started to stamp down on ‘spam’ practices and websites. At the same time Google realised that ‘AdWords’ were not going to kill off SEO and that in fact the ‘natural listings’ encouraged visitors back to their search engine platform. Google started to recognise ‘professional SEO’ experts and promoted good SEO rather than spamming SEO.

2004 saw the first website ‘banned’ from the internet as Google took action against websites that were spamming them. They also took legal action against the “SEO Company” responsible.

To rank a website in 2006 you just needed links back to your website and so buying links / link exchange was all the rage and most websites had a web page where they would list companies and links to their website (I am still amazed how many websites continue this practice).

Between 2004 and 2008 Google, now was the only real “player” in the search engine world, started taking action against poor linking practices and companies and started tightening up on spam and buying links. The ‘Noughties” ended with all “naughty” SEO practices being practically stamped out, as Google concentrated on ranking websites based on their content and it’s relevance to the search being carried out.

SEO in 2010

Between 2010 and 2015 we started to see the search engines take notice of ‘Social Media’ sites and soon the results were filled with Twitter ‘tweets’ in the results. (I can still see the face of one of my customers when searching Google for his business, and the whole first page of the search results were compiled of tweets of a Twitter conversation that two members of staff had been having about how terrible the company was!)

Videos and images were also brought in to the search results with the Google ‘Caffeine’ update.

Google introduced “personal search results” with the websites shown in the search results based on your previous searches and websites you had visited before. This caused a ‘bit of a stir’ in the SEO world as customers claimed their websites were “top of Google” for any search they did related to their industry, just because they had visited their own website many times before, so Google of course fed them back the website for all relevant searches. This can still be a bit of an issue until you show them the new ‘Google Incognito search’.

The focus on ranking websites was on being found for BIG keywords. A ‘Plumber’ in Bristol would want to rank for that search, and so that was the focus.

Google ‘Panda’ and ‘Penguin’ updates figuratively killed off ‘link exchanges’ with huge penalties for websites who had irrelevant links pointing towards them. At the same time Google introduced “no follow links” to allow websites to provide relevant links to other websites and information without penalising either party. It was the start of “safe linking”. Quality and relevant content was now the key to ranking in the search engines.

A report by the ‘Office For National Statistics’ in 2014 stated:

  • 38 million adults (76%) in Great Britain accessed the Internet every day, 21 million more than in 2006, when directly comparable records began.
  • Access to the Internet using a mobile phone more than doubled between 2010 and 2014, from 24% to 58%.
  • 74% of all adults bought goods or services online, up from 53% in 2008. Clothes (49%) were the most popular online purchase in 2014.
  • Of all adults in Great Britain, 67% are aware of Internet storage space services, but the take up of these services to store data is much lower at 35%.
  • In Great Britain, 22 million households (84%) had Internet access in 2014, up from 57% in 2006.
  • Fixed broadband Internet connections were used by 91% of households.

The UK was now (almost) internet savvy and usage of mobile phones to visit websites was huge.

SEO 2015 and Onwards

The biggest change to the search engines in 2015 was the ‘penalisation’ of websites that were not “mobile friendly” – a mobile friendly website has different information for the smaller screen to make it easier for the user to read and understand. In ensuring that users got the best experience Google started ranking mobile friendly or responsive websites (where the website automatically changes its size and format to fit the screen) higher in the rankings.

The UK population were using their mobile phones for local searches, and local companies could at last gain an advantage over the large corporates or ‘national’ companies on the internet.

The introduction of ‘semantic search’, where Google brings back websites in the results not based on the keywords, but the content on a page, again changed the way SEO agencies looked at working on websites. Ranking for the ‘Big’ keywords, such as ‘Plumber Bristol’ became less important, as internet users became more savvy with their searches. ‘Long tail keywords’, and as many as possible, started to grow website visitors and more importantly, conversions.

What is The SEO Process Today?

It is probably correct to say that the processes or practices associated with search engine optimisation have now out grown the term ‘SEO’

In years gone by working the content and structure of a website was enough. Now, there is so much more to do to not only rank a website in search engines, but to get customer engagement. A better description of the service would be ‘digital marketing’.

Old practices, as mentioned earlier, meant ‘big’ keywords were key to ranking. A focus on a single keyword per page or even for a whole website would rank the business and back then it was all about ‘rankings’.

Old way of doing SEO

Today there are a number of factors to consider in regards to SEO. ‘Semantic search’ is the main driver and conversion the main goal, not rankings.

Semantic search is where Google returns information on the page, not the description the website creator input, back to the searcher. An example of this would be to take the ‘Plumber Bristol’ example. A few years ago you would have concentrated on ranking the business for “Plumber Bristol”, “Plumber in Bristol” and perhaps “Emergency Plumber Bristol” – although this still holds true for businesses that offer a solution for ‘distress purchases’ (where time and a solution outweigh the need for information and advice) better practice throughout a website is to add content that offers advice and guidance and includes ‘long tail keywords’ (3 or 4 word searches) such as “Emergency plumber with free callout in Bristol” or “Reviews for an Emergency Plumber near me”. Google wants the user to have the best experience and find the relevant information quickly, and semantic search achieves this. This is also sensible for a business owner. Would you rather your website was found by a searcher looking for “Plumber Bristol” where they could be after information, looking to get a job, looking for a plumbing service that you may not offer, or for a specific and targeted search such as “best emergency Plumber near BS7″? “Plumber Bristol” will get you a website visitor, being found for “best emergency Plumber near BS7″ will get you a customer.

In terms of keywords this is the largest change Google have made and it is here to stay. SEO or digital marketing is no longer about where you rank, but how many different search terms you can be found for and their conversion in to paying customers.

Website Content

A few years ago (and only 2 or 3 years ago) Google suggested to professional SEO Agencies that 300 words on a page was sufficient content. Last year they stated the MINIMUM should be at least 500 words.

Every day I am asked to review a website by a potential customer – and most of them have between 150 to 250 words on a page. This is common practice. There are two ways to look at this. Either Google has to change it’s expectations as most websites do not meet their grade or another way to look at this is as an easy way to jump the competition by simply adding content to your website. Do you think Google will lower it’s expectations or expect websites to improve to their standard? Google released the ‘mobile friendly’ update knowing that somewhere around 80% of websites would need to be upgraded – and they did it anyway as it benefitted over 50% of there users. Quality content effects 100% of their users.

I recommend to our customer about 800 words per page. This is enough content to be ‘semantic search’ friendly, provide relevant content and not be too word heavy.

Good practice is to have:

  1. Page Title – say what the page is about (‘Big’ Keyword if you must)
  2. Headline – asking a question
  3. First paragraph explains briefly explains the content / solution
  4. Image / or video
  5. Longer description of the solution

Take our Emergency Plumber in Bristol, as an example:

  1. Page Title: Emergency Plumber Bristol
  2. Headline: Are you looking for the best emergency plumber near you in Bristol?
  3. First Paragraph: Smith Plumbing offer a 24 hour emergency plumbing service in Bristol. We do not charge a call out fee and can be with you in 20 minutes. That is why our customer reviews and feedback say we are the best emergency plumbing service in your area. Call now on…
  4. Image of the van or the Plumber looking professional
  5. Longer description: What they can fix, common problems they resolve, some of the quotes from their customers etc.

This has a number of benefits.

Firstly, those people who just want a Plumber will read the first paragraph, see the image of the van (build authority and professionalism) and call the Plumber. Other people will want more information which they can find further down the page. Is this cheating at SEO? Absolutely NOT. You are providing relevant information to the user and Google will love you for it. How content is structured and written on a page is the “new” SEO.

The second benefit is that your website will start to be found for a combination of the words on the page – semantic search – in the example above the Plumber could be found by customers and potential customers looking for “Smith Plumbing”,”emergency Plumber near me”, “Emergency Plumber in Bristol”, “Best24 hour emergency plumbing service in Bristol”, “emergency plumber Bristol reviews” and dozens more search terms. If you were a Plumber would you rather be found for one big keyword or multiple relevant customer converting keywords? I thought so, and so does Google.

Old practices were to create website content for the search engines. Now you must create content to provide value for customers. This is an easier process than you might think.

What were the last 5 customer enquiries to your business? What was the problem they were trying to resolve? Write about the problem and your solution.

Link Building

The historic way of ‘link building’ was to get as many links from as many places as possible. This year we has a very large company contact us about their SEO and they were horrified when we suggested that they needed to remove their 1.4 MILLION links back to their website as they had spent a fortune over the years buying the links. Irrelevant links, and the more you have the more detrimental it is, highlights to Google the irrelevance of your website – regardless of how relevant it might be.

Today, a few, relevant links is far better than a Million links back to your website. Today, links have to be built through engaging relationships. Taking our Plumber once more, a link back from the ‘Gas Safe register’, a local plumbing centre or bathroom showroom, and a few local websites that like his information would be enough.

Social Media

Even though we still get a some companies like this now, a few years ago when we suggested businesses should be on Facebook I was normally told “Facebook – that is for teenagers isn’t it? That is not our market”. If done well, Facebook can drive more traffic and paying customers to your door than your website. Facebook’s largest user group is 25 to 34 year olds, second largest is the 35 to 44 years old age group. The 45 to 54 year olds are using Facebook more than teenagers, and as nearly as much as 18 to 24 year old.

Facebook allows a business to build a brand, engage customers, get customer reviews and instant customer feedback. Unlike reviews on your website which potential customer may see if they visit your website, a review on Facebook is seen immediately by all of the users friends and if their friend ‘likes’ the comment – all of their friends, friends. More and more of our customers are getting leads from Facebook. People are asking their friends for suggestions on businesses to use and getting dozens of suggestions back – if you are on Facebook you are more likely to get a direct link to your contact information.

What is next for ‘Social Media’? Live streaming! Twitter has purchased a company called ‘Periscope’ which allows you to live stream video from your phone. “So what?” I hear our ’emergency plumber’ asking. If I were a Plumber I would be live streaming my work as I fix a problem, with the video going out live to all of my followers and their friends – my own television channel that is free-to-air across the whole world. Next time your business conducts a ‘brain storming session’ – periscope it – your customer will tell you what the solutions are.

Video Marketing

There are no ‘old’ SEO practices for video as it just didn’t exist and when YouTube started out it was for showing funny videos of cats and the like.

Today that has all changed. YouTube is the second largest search engine in the world and is owned by Google. YouTube has over 1 BILLION users worldwide and every minute, 300 hours of videos are uploaded. It would take you about 2 years to watch all of the videos that will be uploaded in the next hour. It would take you the rest of your life to watch all the videos uploaded today. Google’s own statistics say that by 2018 73% of searches put into a search engine will result in the person watching a video. Think of it another way, in a couple of years when 10 people search the internet for your product or service – 7 of them will watch a video, 2 will visit a website. That is why I create videos for our customers as part of our ‘digital marketing service’.

If you are looking to sell your house fast for cash, you will find that the traditional method of selling your house through an estate agent can be a lengthy and problematic process. You would have to find a few agents to get comparisons, arrange for a valuation, paint & fix up your property, hold open days, show ‘browsers’ around, wait for an offer, negotiate a price, wait to see if the buyer can get a mortgage, wait if there is a chain involved, pay agent and lawyer fees, If sale fails – start again, all could be complete in 4 – 6 months if you’re lucky! You will also find that today’s UK housing market is not what it used to be, buyers are hard to find and most people that would like to buy are unable to get mortgages.

If you need a fast house sale for cash, then selling your house through estate agents is not the best way for you. An easier way to sell your house fast is to use property investors (cash buyers) who specialise in fast house sales. They offer to buy your house fast, no matter what condition it is in, so there would be no need to spend money painting or fixing up your property. One such company is Buy Sell Property Fast. They appreciate that everybody has different reasons for wanting a fast house sale, their services are tailored to meet your needs every step of the way.

One reason is that you may be selling your house fast to resolve your financial problems. If you are facing severe financial difficulty paying your mortgage, struggling to pay your household bills, car loans, your credit cards or other personal loans then specialist property investors can help stabilise your current financial position by quickly buying your house from you. This will help you avoid getting deeper into debt and also stop the threat of having your house repossessed.

Specialist property investors such as Buy Sell Property Fast can offer you a very fast property sale, usually within the course of a week or in extreme cases within 48 hours. This could allow you to repay and settle your outstanding mortgage and any loans that may have been secured on the property. Their legal team can confirm the sale of your property very quickly and put you back on track through financial stability.

You can also sell your house to them and then rent it back from them. It is very important to deal with this type of problem head on, don’t try to hide from it. If you take remedial action NOW, you can stop the repossession threat on your home.

Other reasons for wanting to sell your house fast include – Relocation or emigration, separation and divorce, bereavement, repossession, ill health, broken property chain or even a failed property investment.

Marketing is important in the medical industry like in other business sectors. Hospitals, dental offices, and pharmaceutical companies need efficient marketing strategies to be successful. One excellent way to promote these services is through the net. Over 200 million people in US are online. This makes up more than 70% of the total population. Statistics also say that eight million Americans online are looking for medical information on the internet every day. If you own a medical business and you think your website is not making any difference, maybe it is time to try medical SEO. Such innovative medical marketing services will help you strengthen your online presence.

What is Medical Search Engine Optimization?

Medical SEO helps people in the health care industry by optimizing their websites and making them appear on major search engines. It aims to get more traffic to the site and generate more revenues for the business. To achieve this, the website must convert site visitors to patients.

Such SEO services involve email and website marketing, website optimization, and many other techniques. All these must help improve your site’s ranking in the search engine results pages. Why is it important to appear in the first pages of the search results? Studies found out that ninety percent of net users never go beyond the first three results pages. Seventy percent of web users go for organic results. This means they prefer natural search results relevant to their particular query.

Medical SEO services will provide you with higher return on investment. The budget you spend on optimizing your website will eventually pay off as you get more patients.

Other Medical Marketing Techniques

Newsletters. Serving patients is the bread and butter of medical businesses. Medical newsletters are a good way to reach out to patients, clients, and customers. It is a good strategy to stay in touch and keep them informed about the company.

Newsletters must be creative to get the interest of readers. For instance, success stories from real patients are a good option to include in it. There must also be catchy headlines and titles. Medical marketers know that these elements can give audience something to look forward to. The more readers you get to read the articles, the more exposure your company can get.

Medical Branding. Getting your name out there is another essential component of medical marketing. Using promotional products such as pens, key chains, umbrellas, or shirts are good ways to achieve this. Creativity is also a key to achieve branding through promotional items. You can use custom-made, medical-themed items. If you are a dental practitioner, you can perhaps distribute tooth-shaped stress relievers. If your business is a pharmacy, pill-shaped pillows or key chains are good promo items.

These are just some of the medical marketing services you can get. The choice of service depends on the nature of your business and your current marketing strategies. Look for a medical marketing company and talk about your goals.

The sun, the surf, the year round warm temperatures…we get it all in the Tampa Bay area where I live and usually on the hottest days of the year is when I find myself mowing and edging and trimming my grass and hedges. Its also about this time when I am thinking about hiring a professional lawn care company to take all this work away from me.

So the question is: DIY or hire a professional lawn care provider in Cincinnati.

Some people think that taking care of a lawn is simple. Well yes its not rocket science but there is a little more to it than just mowing the lawn.

DIY’ers need to know many things about caring for their lawns such as: what type of sod or grass should be planted in your area? What type of fertilizer should be used, how often should it be applied, should you use commercial brands or organic fertilizers?

Why should you get a soil analysis of your soil? How to you get a soil analysis performed to tell you what nutrients are present in your soil and even what nutrients should be present.

How exactly should you mow the lawn, should you cut it short or leave it long? What tools are needed to take care of your lawn once its mature? How do you take care of a newly seeded or sodded lawn?

How often should you water your lawn and how much water should you give it?

Yes there is more to lawn care than just mowing the grass.

So the question is do you want to make the commitment to spend the time and effort to learn how to take care of your lawn properly and then actually do the work of caring for your lawn or should you spend the money to hire a professional lawn care provider?

Consider the time you will need to do the research in order to understand how to properly take care of your lawn.

  • Things such as soil science: the different types of fertilizers the soil and lawn will need and why.
  • The types of lawn weeds and how to effectively remove then and keep them away Wat areas the different types of turfgrasses grow in and what type is best suited for your area, etc.
  • Then there is the actual doing the work..the mowing, trimming, edging, carting off the debris to the compost pile, etc.

And then consider that this is usually all done during the hottest times of the year, usually twice a week like I do in Florida!

While some people need to do the work themselves to save money especially during these hard hitting economic times but for me its the great sense of accomplishment I get knowing I did all the work myself when I look out my window and see my great looking lawn. The old pioneer spirit I guess!

Still others find hiring a professional lawn care provider is simply the prudent thing to do for themselves. Perhaps the hands on approach is not their style or they don’t do things well with their hands or its that they are just too busy.

When hiring professionals to handle their lawn care needs many people look for the cheapest offer. This isn’t usually in their best interest. The cheapest guy may have just lost a job last week at the local burger joint and has borrowed a lawn mower, then put out fliers to land some lawn care jobs. Do you really want this guy taking care of your lawn. Due diligence is required here to find a lawn care professional that will be trustworthy and experienced. Ask for references and go look at their work. Ask the homeowner if they are happy with their provider.

Now during these trying economic times, negotiation is key. Remember everyone is looking for new customers and the lawn care business is very competitive especially in year round warm climates like Florida. Most providers will want to sign you up for a year or a season contract. Just make sure you are getting all their services in writing and get yourself a good price.

While there is no denying that words are an exceedingly powerful tool in creating a brand or driving relevant traffic to your site, they are but a piece in the overall marketing equation. Why does your brain crave infographics? As humans, we are very visual creatures. And in today’s society of online A.D.D., marketers need to be clever and savvy in how they grab the attention of potential customers.

While the digital form of infographics is relatively recent, explaining an idea in image form is nothing new. Infographics are the smart new digital way of communicating ideas, data and knowledge.

Did you know the world’s information is currently doubling every two years? It’s no wonder people experience information overload.

The use of visualized information has increased drastically.

– 9900% on the internet (since 2007)
– 142% in newspapers (between 1985 & 1994)

From 2010 to 2012, infographic search volumes have increased over 800%.

In 2013, Pulitzer-prize winning journalist, Gareth Cook, was brought in to edit the first volume of The Best American Infographics.

So, why do infographics work?

1. We live in the information age: In one day, we create 1.5 billion pieces of content, 140 million tweets and 2 million videos. But we have less and less time and attention spans to read and take in as much content as we want. Most people decide to stay or leave a site in just 2-4 seconds. With infographics, it’s much more likely your content will be remembered.

2. We are Visual: An infographic collects data, organizes it, and turns this information into an easy to understand visual. A well-researched and designed infographic empowers readers by breaking down complex ideas into visual groupings. Stunning images or well-designed charts simply make a bigger impression.

3. Demonstrate & Convince: Want to learn how to do the Moon Walk? You could read about it, but it would be a lot easier to view an infographic with step-by-step pictures. An infographic also can easily tell a story, behind the statistics of just about anything you can think of. They make it easy to understand even complex concepts.

4. Brand Awareness: Infographics have company logos embedded for instant brand awareness. And built on the same principles of content marketing components, it should tell a good brand story.

5. Earn Links: Because of the visual appeal, infographics are easily shareable on all social profiles. They allow sites in niche industries with minimal natural linkage to earn links from other markets. Infographics can provide global coverage, at a much smaller cost, than print media ever could.

6. Become an Authority: The research required for an infographic will help you become the expert in the topic or industry.

7. Measurable Results: Infographics are meant to go viral. Good infographics equal enhanced search visibility and increased SEO. Infographics offer quick measurable results from social shares, backlinks and traffic.

Some fantastic examples:

1. 50 Years of Space Exploration: Massive infographic that displays the last 50 years of space exploration. Designed by Sean McNaughton and Samuel Velasco for National Geographic.

2. Grand Mosque: This is an infographic press release from the Gulf News (Dubai)

3. The Slowest Loading Website in the Fortune 500: This details the load times of all Fortune 500 companies.

4. The Big Questions of Climate Change: This detailed and data rich infographic by Adolfo Arranz shows the true impact of climate change.

Information has to be digestible for it to go viral. Generate a unique connection with visitors with creatively designed, animated and educational infographics. After all, a picture is worth a thousand words.

What is an infographic?

Nowadays, florist sells more than just flowers. If you visit the website or shop of a florist, you can find them selling things from chocolate to hampers. As the flowers and gifts industry booms, more people are starting their own florist businesses. However, with so many choices, how do you know which florist is good? In this article, let me share with you a few tips to choose a good florist.

A professional florist should be able to give you sound advices to choose the right flower or gift for your loved ones. If we look at flowers, there are so many different types, shapes, sizes and colors. If you have no knowledge on floral arrangement or flowers, you may not know what to choose. This is when a florist comes in handy. For a flower shop in St. Louis, MO. click here.

Most people like to get flowers from their nearest florist shop. My advice to you is if you want to get the best flowers, you need to keep your option open. Some of the best florist shops may not be near your home. So you should do a research first before you head down to the nearest florist to buy your flowers.

Next, you should look for a florist who is affiliated with a professional group. Reputable florists usually belong to a professional group as they will always try to be the best at their crafts. So this is something that you can look at when choosing a good florist.

Another thing to look out for is to find a florist with a wide selection of flowers. You should take a close look at their flowers to make sure that they are fresh and neatly arranged. If not, it means that they are not professional enough to care about their flowers and you cannot expect them to care for your flowers too.

A good florist should know how to establish a good rapport with you and provide you with tip-top service. They are in business and you are their client. If a florist treats you half-heartedly, they do not deserve to get your business and you should look for someone else.

One sure way to find a good florist is to ask for a recommendation from your friends, business associates and family members. Each of them should have their own preferred florist and you can get some valuable feedback from them. Take your time to source out a few florists before you make a decision to hire one.

GoPro did not make helmet cams for the 720P era, deciding instead to concentrate their energies on the 1080P HD Hero Helmet Camera, now available. Their brand is very popular amongst sports lovers and their products have been among the top sellers for the past 2 years or so.

One of the outstanding features of GoPro cameras generally is the waterproof case which enables you to video down to 60 meters.

When the POV team tested the GoPro HD Hero range they concluded that the video quality was as good as or better than any other camera.

There are several smaller and lighter helmet cams available but the GoPro HD tips the scales at only 5.9 ounces so it will hardly cause fatigue!

The GoPro HD has a field of view of 127 degrees which is not as big as some but is nevertheless very respectable.

Helmet Cams in general have so far been hampered a bit by wind noise but this is an aspect that GoPro have tackled and first tests produced a greatly reduced wind noise level.

GoPro have introduced a visionary design feature on this camera with a small slot at the back of this camera which they have called a ‘Hero Bus’. The slot gives you the ability to incorporate future hardware options called ‘Bakpacs’, as they become available, thus increasing your camera’s versatility. One ‘Bakpac’ planned for release in the not-too-distant future is an LCD plug-in which will enable on-camera preview and playback.

Initial trials of the Helmet Hero were completed in the snow and gave stunning results on a helmet and on a broom pole. Early customers have used their HD Helmet Hero cameras in various sports and action situations. Consider just some of these current uses of the Go Pro HD Helmet Hero:

  • Kayaking
  • Off-Road Biking
  • Stock Car Racing
  • Airplane Stunts
  • Skiing
  • Ice Climbing
  • Snowmobiling
  • Rafting
  • Sailing
  • Scuba-Diving

Earlier GoPro cameras shot at 512X384 resolution. However, the Helmet Hero HD models give you much more, as follows:

  • 1080p at 30 frames per second
  • 960p at 30 frames per second
  • 720p at both 30 and 60 frames per second
  • 480p at 60 frames per second

There is a video showing a guy bringing his home-built plane in to land with his GoPro HD attached to the inside of the canopy.

Another enthusiast took his GoPro camera on a Kite-Boarding vacation to Peru. This was a free-of-charge trip on condition that he took some promotional shots of this new hotel for the owner. The problem that he faced was that his normal, hand-held video camera only had a standard narrow lens. He retrieved the situation with his GoPro Hero HD and, with the tripod mount and tripod, completed every one of the wide angle shots with it!

All of them can be fitted well on a camera and will make your experience of terrestrial viewing much more easier. If you have tall built then the angled one is more suitable as they come with some special configurations to suit well to a tall person and even help in observing a target for longer time. These scopes bear eyepieces that can be mounted at a position lying at 45 degree angle. Even if you need to have a wide view from a higher elevation, they are the right choices as there won’t be any hassle to mount on a taller tripod. That is really advantageous.

However, there are shoulder-mounted scopes which can be well mounted on one’s shoulders. They are great choices as they are made in a way that they can sustain the strength and stability of a tripod mount. One need to put any separate set up or stand for setting the scopes. Hence, they can be carried easily from one place to another.

The straight through scopes enables one to look straight through them just by holding them to the eye and the scope lies in straight line with the eye of the user. They are useful choices if one needs to look around through the window of the car while driving. They are perfect selections for travellers on the move as the lightweight of the device offer ease in carrying them just anywhere. So get some more Swarovski spotting scopes reviews from other trustworthy sources and select the model that suits your needs the best.

Cheap van leasing is also comparable to paying for the usage of a car, truck or any vehicle allowed to be used for a certain period of time. A lot of people have mistakenly associated van leasing to van rentals. However, the former has one major difference. When you say van rental, you’re going to use the van for a very short period of time, this can only be days or weeks, on the other hand when you talk about van leasing this requires at least a year of usage.

When considering a van lease, first thing that you need to mull over is the price. Make every effort to get a good deal and try to negotiate as much as possible. Moreover, if you are a smart lessee, you should familiarize yourself with the advantages and disadvantages of the van being leased. Once you are able to talk to your van dealer and agreed on the financial aspect, the dealer will then sell your chosen van to the leasing company at a price that has been agreed on. Then the leasing company will let you have the van at the settled price. This will be the time for you to give out the total amount of the leases that is being spread over a period of every month. Just remember, that before making any deal, written agreement should be carefully read, understood and checked.

Also, take into account that the dealer is only an agent working as a medium between you and the van leasing company. Dealers are people who would do the scouting for you so as to avoid any hassles on your part. The dealer serves as the middleman who would speak on your behalf and would let the leasing company know of any concerns specifically when it comes to the mode of payment. In this line of work, the dealer is given a portion of the price of the leased van known as the “commission” in each of the purchaser he endorses.

However, once a written agreement has been inked, keep in mind that the settlement is now between you and the leasing company excluding the dealer. The dealer’s work ends there. Any concerns regarding your van should go directly to the leasing company, nothing more nothing less. The dealer is totally out once the agreement has been settled.

There are a number of renowned and reputable motor and van companies like Ford and General Motors that have van leasing businesses acting as subsidiaries. You can also transact to dealers directly coming from these companies and dealers hired by banks and other leasing and loaning institutions. Furthermore, along with the monthly obligations that you usually pay when you lease a van, you still have to shoulder and pay for equivalent fees, taxes, licensing fees and other pertinent documents needed to be completed the same way as owning your own vehicle.

The leasing contract comprise of different agreement along with the deal of the van’s usage for a specified number of year or months. A pledge is also being done to ensure that the van will still be in the same running condition and continue until the end of the duration period. On the end of the leasing period, you are compelled to return the car to the leasing company. Small dents are acceptable however, serious damages on the van will call for damage fees and additional fees when you opt to use the van longer than the specified time. The leasing company also gave lessee the opportunity to buy the vehicle or can be used to trade for a brand new one.

The other thing to keep in mind when using leasing company’s is that they already have great relationships with certain dealerships and can often get the vehicle at a reduced rate in the first place, so it is often better to talk with the leasing company about what they are able to offer before even going to see a dealership.

Whiter teeth can do wonders for your smile and appearance, so it’s no wonder that teeth whitening is one of the most popular cosmetic dentistry options.

In addition to the discoloration caused by the build-up of surface stains acquired from using tobacco products and consuming certain foods or drinks, the average person’s teeth are naturally shades of light grayish-yellow, and naturally become darker with age. Teeth whitening methods give everyone a chance to enjoy bright smiles that would otherwise not be available to them.

Not all treatments are suitable for everyone, so it is important to check with your dentist before deciding which tooth whitening option to go with. Some treatments use bleach while others do not, and not everyone’s teeth are suited for bleaching.

Teeth whitening is ideal for people who have healthy gums and teeth, with no fillings. Teeth with yellow tones respond best to whitening.

Most bleaching products are peroxide-based. The peroxide is what actually bleaches your tooth enamel and makes your teeth whiter. The strength of the peroxide typically determines the strength of the whitening treatment. The percentages of peroxide currently found in teeth whitening products are 10%, 16% and 22%.

Not all discoloured teeth respond to bleaching treatments. For example, bleaching will not work for patients with root canal treatments, fillings, crowns and/or extremely dark stains on their front teeth. Only your dentist can tell you if your teeth and gums are healthy enough to go through a whitening process.

If your dentist has determined that you are a candidate to have your teeth whitened, you will need to decide which teeth whitening method to go with.

Your teeth-whitening options include teeth whitening toothpaste, over-the-counter whitening strips and gels, whitening rinses, tray-based tooth whiteners, and in-office whitening. These can take anywhere from a few days to a few weeks to show results. If you want white teeth now, Zoom! Whitening is an option that can turn your teeth 5 to 8 shades whiter in one dental appointment.

Teeth Whitening Toothpastes

Whitening toothpastes are limited to removing surface stains on the teeth. They use special abrasives, as well as additional polishing or chemical agents that aid stain removal. Because the abrasives are usually just finer versions of the ones used in regular toothpastes, they are unlikely to cause excessive wear to the teeth. However, because whitening toothpastes do not contain bleach, they can only make your teeth about one shade lighter.

Over-the-Counter Whitening Strips and Gels

Over-the-counter and professional whitening products produce more noticeable results because they contain hydrogen peroxide or carbamide peroxide that helps lighten the color deep within the tooth.

Whitening gels are clear, peroxide-based gels that you apply directly to the surface of your teeth with a small brush. They usually need to be applied twice a day for 14 days. You will generally see initial results in a few days, and the final results usually last for about four months.

Whitening strips are thin, virtually invisible strips coated with a peroxide-based whitening gel. You apply the strips for 30 minutes two times a day, for 14 days. You can see the initial results in a few days, and enjoy the final results for about four months.

Whitening Rinses

Whitening rinses, like most mouthwashes, freshen breath and help reduce dental plaque and gum disease while also including ingredients like hydrogen peroxide that whiten teeth. They need to be swished around in your mouth for 60 seconds twice a day before you brush your teeth. Rinses are said by some experts to be less effective than other over-the-counter whitening products because a whitening rinse is only in contact with the teeth for two minutes a day, as opposed to 30 minutes for many strips. Manufacturers say they may take up to 12 weeks to produce results.

Tray-Based Tooth Whiteners

Tray-based tooth whitening systems work by filling a mouth guard-like tray with a gel whitening solution that contains a peroxide-bleaching agent and then wearing the tray for a period of time, generally from a few hours a day to every night for up to four weeks or longer (depending on how discolored your teeth are and how white you want to make them). They can be purchased over the counter or from your dentist. Ones from the dentist produce faster and more effective results because they contain a stronger peroxide-bleaching agent than whitening products purchased over the counter. They are also custom made and fit your teeth exactly, while over-the-counter trays come in generic sizes and could allow the bleaching agent to come into contact with your gums and cause irritation.

In-Office Whitening

In-office bleaching is the quickest way to whiten teeth. While dentist-administered procedures are generally very expensive, they produce the best results. As well, they will give you a better sense of how effective the treatment will be. It involves applying the whitening product directly to the teeth, and combining it with heat, a special light, and/or a laser. This light-activated whitening by your dentist can make your teeth three to eight shades lighter. You can see dramatic results in just one 30- to 60-minute treatment, although several appointments are usually needed.

Market Research has been done to check the awareness of the organic products in the upper middle class. The aim of this research was to identify consumers’ attitudes towards Organic Agriculture, to increase consumers understanding of Organic Agriculture and to inform them the benefits of the organic products.

Agriculture has historically been the major source of livelihood to most Indians, as well as for food security. But particularly over recent decades use of synthetic fertilizers, pesticides and agrochemicals are becoming widely accepted and available practices which causes ill effects on human health, the environment and the ecology.

The widespread realization of the ill effects of chemicals has given rise to an increasing return to husbandry lead farming practices, combining traditional knowledge and modern technology resulting in what is now formally termed as “Organic Agriculture”; promoting environmentally, socially and economically sound production of food and fibers.

But there is vital need to understand the complexity of the inter-related reason why there has been little growth in the organic products in the market.

The market selected was the different areas of South Delhi such as Greater Kailash colonies, East of Kailash, Kailash Colony, Green Park, Golf Link, Jor Bagh, Lajpat Nagar etc because they are comparatively more knowledgeable about the organic products as compared to the other areas of Delhi and are more willing to buy the organic products.

The instruments used in the survey was the Kwik Survey website and the telephone to call the people individually with the help of the directory.

A sample of 50 people was taken who live in the different regions of South Delhi. These people were asked a set of questions according to which this report is formulated. In order to gauge the levels of awareness of consumers on organic food products they were first asked what they understood by the term ‘organic foods’. There appeared to be a significant knowledge about it. 2% said they did not know or were not sure what the term ‘organic foods’ means. Another 10% of the total sample said that organic foods were natural foods, 39% said that they were foods without chemicals, 30% foods not sprayed with pesticides, 2% traditional or indigenous foods, 7% foods grown with manure, while herbal foods, and healthy/nutritious foods were each mentioned by 5% of the total sample.

Secondly the consumers were asked their source of information on what organic food products are. Word of mouth, internet and health magazines came out to be the most common source of information across the different ideologies of what organic products are. This is followed by television programs and radio programs. 48% of the people have said that the source of information about organic food products is through word of mouth while 33% have said the source was book and magazines and the rest of 9 % have said either TV or they are not sure about it

Consumers’ awareness on certain facts about organic products was also tested. A set of statements was read out to the respondents on the phone and they were asked to state whether or not they were aware of this fact.

68 % of the respondents have said that there are local standards for organic products, 76% have agreed upon the organic certification body in our country, 65% have said that the organic food products are recognized by the logo while only 30% have said that they are movements done in our country to promote the organic food products. This data shows people in South Delhi are pretty much aware of organic products.

Consumers consumption was also checked by asking them the questions that have they ever consumed or considered consuming ‘organic food products? 35% of respondents have said that they have consumed organic products while 45 % have considered consuming it. 13% people are not sure about the consumption while only 9 % have not consumed it. The above data showed that most of the people living in South Delhi are either currently consuming the organic products or considered consuming them

Those people who are either consuming the organic products or considered consuming are further asked the reasons for their consumption. Most of the people have said that they consume organic vegetable because it is healthy and nutritious. 9% people have consumed it because it is tasty while 56% have given the reason for their consumption as healthy and nutritious and 20% went with the environmental friendly as their reason and rest of 15% went with the safe to consume option.

All respondents were asked whether or not they felt that there was need for a verification system. Majority 69%, said yes and 31% said no.Overall, need for a verification system also appeared to be more important to the higher socioeconomic group.

Those who felt there was need for a verification system were also asked to state who should be in-charge of providing this verification. Majority mentioned the government (51%) Out of the total sample who felt a need for verification, 19% also said it should be provided by anindependent certification body and 18% said it should be done by NGOs working withfarmers. Other responses given were companies buying from farmers, 10%, groups of producers 7% and the producer himself 6%.

In order to gauge perceptions and attitudes, respondents were asked about what they overall think about the organic farming and products. 94 % people have said that it’s a good thing. 3% people have said that it’s both a good thing and bad thing. 1% people have said that it’s a bad thing and rest of 2% have said that they are not sure about it.

This data shows most of the people surveyed in the South Delhi consider the organic product as a good thing which fulfills the main motive of the research as well.

Thus a conclusion is established from the research done. There is very good awareness in South Delhi about organic foods or organic farming. Most of them know what organic really entails. When some facts are displayed to them it becomes evident by their own admittance that indeed awareness is high. Majority of those who are aware belong to the upper socio-economic classes. It is therefore surprising that consumption levels are modest as compared to the awareness. The major reason behind the modest or low consumption of the organic product are that products are not readily available and are high priced. Further people have doubted about the authenticity of the product which restricts them to consume the organic products.

After the release of D&D 4th edition in June of 2008 this number is expected to climb at least to some degree. Indeed, some analysts predict that the number of regular players of D&D 4th edition around the world will reach approximately 6 million thanks in part to some of the changes that will be seen in this upcoming edition of the game.

Eco-friendly production utilizes non-toxic materials and processes. It endorses manufacturing efficiency which reduces air and water pollution. It places great importance on conserving vital resources and preserving our environment and human safety.

Impressive! So what defines clothing as eco-friendly?

1. It’s made without toxic materials.

Conventional garments, often contaminated with chemical dyes, finishes, or synthetic pesticides left over from cultivation, may contain heavy metals and dioxins that are carcinogenic. These harmful chemicals can also cause skin irritations and allergies.

2. It’s created with sustainable, biodegradable, organic ingredients which don’t pollute or deplete the ecosystem.

Environmentally friendly apparel utilizes organic cotton cultivated with no synthetic pesticides and man-made fertilizers, as well as no genetically modified seeds. Conventionally grown cotton uses large quantities of pesticides and fertilizers which cause water and soil pollution. Another earth friendly fiber well suited to clothing is hemp. Hemp plants require little fertilizer or irrigation. Hemp also captures carbon gas which reduces the “greenhouse” effect. Finally, cotton, hemp, bamboo, soy fibers, and wool (like most natural components) are biodegradable.

3. It’s made from recycled materials, such as plastic bottles, which reduces trash disposal at county landfills.

Eco-wise clothing can also utilize recycled plastic shopping bags or plastic bottles. Environmentally friendly footwear may utilize recycled tire treads, shoe soles, shoestrings, as well as “leftover” materials from conventional footwear. Environmentally friendly clothing may also be created with “recovered” material gathered by dismantling used clothing.

4. It’s manufactured responsibly – safe for both garment workers and the environment.

Cotton farmed for environmentally friendly apparel must meet strict environmental standards, utilize sustainable farming methods, and contain no genetically modified organisms.

5. It utilizes production practices that do not exploit labor, especially in poor nations.

The Fair Trade Certified Apparel program directly benefits the farmers who grow the cotton as well as the workers who sew the garments. By agreeing to pay a 1-10% Fair Trade premium to a worker controlled fund managed by the workers, garment workers may invest in disaster relief, a scholarship fund for their children, or infrastructure improvements in their communities. Fair Trade enables sustainable development, community empowerment, and creates a more equitable global trade model.

6. It’s comfortable, fashionable, and (becoming) more affordable.

Environmentally sound clothing is not limited to plain, simple looking t-shirts, blouses, pants, and skirts. Not all fashionable eco-friendly apparel with beautiful designs is expensive. You may find fashionable dresses starting at about $50. And remember, lower toxicity clothing is naturally more comfortable to wear! Organic Tees are absorbent, soft, and comfortable to wear in warm weather. Earth friendly apparel made of soy fiber is pleasantly light-feeling and has anti-ultraviolet properties. Bamboo fibers and wool fiber clothing will keep you comfortably warm during winter and cool during summer!

There you have it! Eco-friendly apparel truly does have many benefits. Do both yourself and the entire Earth a favor by purchasing eco-friendly apparel!

Your pool is a superb escape during sizzling summer days for you and your family, but a person’s outdoor oasis requires a great deal of work. There are pH levels to take into account, chemicals to add and filters to be emptied. Though some people will be willing to devote the time to perfect this balancing act of routine maintenance, several prefer to retain a pool service to tackle chemicals and skim leaves. Prior to employing a service, however, there tend to be a number of elements an individual must keep in mind.

But what exactly does a pool service do?

A few pool owners go for a do it yourself system in pool care, but some find it worth it to employ another person. Knowing what services the pool company supplies is definitely vital in determining just how to deal with the servicing connected with your swimming pool.

The majority of swimming pool companies provide similar servicing duties, many on a weekly time frame. Several of these types of duties may well include things like retaining the pool’s appearance by scrubbing up walls and steps and skimming trash off of the water’s surface, maintaining equipment in operating order and balancing the chemical compounds throughout the pool. Some services also provide swimming pool installation. You should take a look at whether your pool installers perform swimming pool services also, since if they do, this is actually the finest quality service an individual can find. This individuals already know your pool and consequently, these people understand how to take care of it in the greatest possible way.

In addition, if perhaps you do not keep your pool available year round, a pool service can certainly also open and close your pool for an added cost. Opening a pool involves the removing of the cover, a chlorine treatment, re-installing the pump and filter, as well as the ladders and diving board. Shutting down the pool calls for draining the water, cleaning the water out of the water pump, taking off the ladder and diving board and ultimately covering the pool.

How much will these services cost?

Lots of companies provide primary services for close to $145 a month with swimming pool openings and closings from $100 to $150 each time, yet a few swimming pool owners quote up to $400 for monthly services. The price of pool services is remarkably variable, with numerous adding elements. Here are some questions to ask yourself when determining the price:

Just how large is your swimming pool? The size of your pool impacts just how many gallons of water have got to be treated with chemicals as well as just how long the swimming pool guys will have to brush off walls and steps, therefore when you currently have a big swimming pool, you might be charged more for chemicals and man hours.

Just what exactly are the usage and circumstances of your swimming pool? Elements like the consistency of utilization along with just how much trash falls into your swimming pool may signify more or less appointments from your swimming pool service in a month.

Exactly where do you reside? The location in which you actually reside can have a large impact on the cost of pool maintenance. Many swimming pool providers in your region can produce more aggressive costs. Fuel and chemical costs furthermore influence service prices, because the pool provider may factor that straight into their fee.

Exactly what type of equipment does your swimming pool have? Swimming pools have distinct filter systems, skimmers and vacuum cleaners that influence the consistency of servicing the pool will require. Excess equipment including heaters and lights may suggest more repair phone calls to the service.

Things to Consider Before Hiring

Selecting the incorrect service can be a expensive oversight. Though there tend to be quite a few excellent providers out there, swimming pool maintenance can be a transient business. In advance of choosing, be positive that the service is covered by insurance and knowledgeable. How long has the company been around? Are they a part of an honest business association? Do a little investigation prior to hiring.

Interviewing the provider is also essential to be sure that they have competent employees. Are these people knowledgeable with regards to your pool’s equipment? If you have a heated pool, does the provider understand how to repair the heater if it breaks? Do they understand the important maintenance pertaining to your specific filtration system? All these are concerns to think about.

Finally, it is important to look around. Assess fees and services of different providers. Consult neighbors asking what provider they employ. Choosing to retain the services of a company can take away the burden of taking care of the overall health of your pool, but hiring the inappropriate one can turn out to be even far more of a problem. Consider all of the specifics and make your decision properly.

Thinking about your own funeral leaves most people feeling a little uneasy, but more adults are finding that pre-planning their funeral offers great emotional and even financial security for them and their families.

Some people also describe this feeling as a sudden pause as if the heart stops then one big mighty thump. Or as if the heart forgot to beat for a second. Some people do find this sensation to be a little frightening.

A question I am asked a lot is “I get a lot of skipped beats do many other people get this?”

The answer is YES!

Even people who do not suffer from anxiety and panic often report a sensation of a “skipped beat”.

Now of course I am not a doctor, however… When I wore a 24 hour Holter monitor I did record in my diary a feeling of a skipped beat a few times. And for every time I recorded feeling a “skipped beat” it coincided with an “ectopic heart beat“.

My cardiologist informed me that almost everyone has an ectopic beat and they’re harmless.

If you are concerned about it this is something you could maybe bring forth on your next doctors visit. There are certain things that can make this sensation more frequent, for example; stress, cigarette smoking, alcohol, caffeine, even exercise can bring it on.

If it’s really worrying you, your doctor may recommend a beta-blocker to reduce the amount of skipped beats you feel.

Do Your Due Diligence

Have you ever been locked out of your car or home? Either you can’t find your car keys or you locked yourself out of your home. First thoughts are typically to turn to family and friends for help or a set of spare keys, but this may not work out. Next steps are to contact a locksmith in your area. However, before sealing the deal with the locksmith business, you need to consider the reliability and honesty of the company. The Federal Trade Commission (FTC), the nation’s consumer protection agency, has uncovered that some locksmith companies may advertise in your local telephone book, but may not be local at all. Worst, these ‘technicians’ may not have qualified professional training at all and can cause further damage to your property.

Check Locksmith Locality

This has been noted and reported by the FTC in the past: A company not located in your area has a name for its business that is similar to the name of other local locksmiths in the area. This company advertises in the yellow pages and online directories using a local address and phone number. However, in actuality, there is no store front and the local number is transferred to a place far from your local town. Then, you may not be given a quote for the locksmith service or given a false quote. When the locksmith arrives, he may want more money and you feel pressured and stuck. If the locksmith only accepts cash, that is also a sign that the business is not an authentic local locksmith.

Sometimes you can detect these falsely “local locksmiths” as they may have multiple listings – sometimes over 30 listings in a single phone number. All these listings are under different names, but the phone numbers are all directed to a single central call center. There, operators, who may not be trained individuals, are sent to your location.

How to Best Choose a Locksmith Company

There are reliable and honest local locksmith companies out there. The best piece of advice is to do your research and due diligence before you find yourself locked out or in an emergency locksmith situation. Perhaps you are thinking about increasing your home security by installing deadbolt locks, changing locks and door keys, or even installing a home alarm system. This is an excellent time to sit down in front of the computer and research different companies. Be sure to read reviews, check that they have a local address and phone number, and compare quotes over the phone. Additionally, reach out to co-workers, family members, and friends for any personal recommendations they may have.

Once you’ve found a reputable locksmith, keep the company’s contact information in a safe place such as your wallet, phone, or address book. This can save you time, anxiety, and money in the future.

Tips for Emergency Locksmith Situations

Of course, if you are dealing with an emergency locksmith in Wakefield situation such as being locked out of your car, home, or office, you don’t have the same luxury of sitting in front of the computer and thoroughly checking the legitimacy of the locksmith companies. Here are some tips for such scenarios:

  • If you’re locked out of your car and have a roadside assistance service call them before a locksmith. Many times, these lock out services are included in the membership or even though the car dealership or insurance company depending on when you bought the car.
  • If a company answers the phone with a generic phrase like “locksmith services,” rather than a company-specific name, be on your guard. Ask for the legal name of the business. If the customer representative does not give an answer, call another locksmith.
  • Get an estimate for all work and replacement parts from the locksmith before work begins.
    • Ask about additional fees before you agree to have the technician come to your location. Companies may charge extra for responding to a call in the middle of the night or for driving long distance. Ask if there is a charge for mileage, or a minimum fee for a service call.
    • Never sign a blank form authorizing work.
    • If the price decided on over the phone does not correspond to the price of the work when the technician arrives, do not allow any work to be done.
  • Ask if the locksmith is insured. If your property is damaged during the work, it’s important for the locksmith to have insurance to cover your losses.
  • It is important to note that 9 states require locksmiths to be licensed: Alabama, California, Illinois, Louisiana, New Jersey, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Tennessee and Texas. The technicians in these states should be able to provide their license number.

Green Locksmith San Diego works exclusively partners with insured and licensed locksmiths. If your family is sick of the pests freely moving around your house and you have no idea how to go about dealing with this problem, then we recommend that you meet a domestic pest controller. Like other creatures, pests have a range of species that give a plethora of problems to house residents. Dealing with them is possible only if you know the species of pests creeping in your house. Hiring a pest controller sounds like a good idea to deal with this problem.

Below are signs of a reputable and reliable pest exterminator company. Keep these simple pointers in mind and you will get the right service.

Inspection

For the most part, reputable pest exterminators commence pest extermination by inspecting the property from all angles. You should not trust a professional who does not carry out inspection prior to giving you a price quote. During inspection, the pest extermination professionals will identify various types of pests causing you problems.

Extermination of regular pests

For expert pest controllers, it is not very hard to exterminate pests that belong to different species. Here, it is important to note that specific products and techniques are employed as per the type of pests. For example, a product that is used to kill off ants cannot be used to destroy spiders or rats. So, a good company knows the exact types of products to target a certain kind of pests.

Inspections after the job is done

After the pest extermination job has been completed, the service provider will send its technicians again to make sure all the pests have been killed. The pests will start off multiplying again if only a single pest is left untreated. So, this is a sign of the right provider.

Prevent pest infestation down the road

Killing off pests is not enough; as a matter of fact, it is the responsibility of a pest controller to prevent a house from getting infested down the line. If your pest controller takes proper measures to prevent future infestation, this is another good sign that he is the one you are looking for.

Service charges

Reputable companies always charge very reasonable prices for their top quality services. You should not make the selection focusing only on service charges, but this is another good parameter to find the best service.

In short, great care should be taken prior to choosing a qualified exterminator. Given above are a few signs of the best pest control company. Last but not least, reliable service providers pay visits to a house twice a year to make certain the house is totally free of harmful pests.

This article is dedicated to a very specific roof repair. This is a split level house with a second story roof over a single story roof. The exterior of the house body is lap siding. The first story roof in question is back-pitched into a second story wall. During a heavy rain water comes off of the second story roof and is dumped onto the first story roof. The water is then routed into a dead valley that leads straight into the second story wall (poor architectural design). Over many years of this water slamming into the second story wall, it eventually started leaking over the flashing and under the shingles onto the family room ceiling below and ultimately ruining the drywall. What we are going to go over is how to minimize the amount of water in this area and repairing the roof. In this case we know where the problem area is. The problem is where the first story roof meets the second story wall, so this is where we will start. In roofing, shingles start at the bottom overhang of the roof and are laid up the roof to the peak. They are then finished off with a roof cap of some sort. We will begin by reversing this process.

  1. Clean the debris from the area of roof you will be working on.
  2. Remove the roof cap, starting at the wall, back to the length of the first shingle at the peak of the roof.
  3. Remove the shingles from the wall. Start at the peak and work your way down to the eve Remove only what is necessary. In our case, we removed no more than one full shingle (mostly partial shingles) all the way down.
  4. Once the shingles and nails are removed, fill the nail holes with roof sealant.
  5. At this point, we could see that the 5×5 flashing, that goes from the roof to the wall, had been installed incorrectly. We could actually see the top of the flashing was cut (big no no!) below the bottom of the siding allowing any heavy rain a direct route into the house. At this point we decided the best method of repair was going to be to fill in the old 5×5 gap with roof sealant and start over with a new design.
  6. Fill the gap, from the bottom of the siding to the roof deck, with roof sealant. You don’t have to be especially clean here as it will be covered with new 5×5 flashing and 1×4 pressure treated trim.
  7. Install new 5×5 flashing per manufacturers recommendations. Make sure it is sealed well.
  8. Cut and install your new shingles. Make sure the edge that lays on the 5×5 metal has a very thick bead of sealant under it.
  9. Once your shingles are installed, install your top cap and you are done with the shingles.
  10. Cut and install the 1×4, approximately 2 inches off the roof deck, on the wall. Before installing the 1×4 make sure you put a very thick bead of silicone or other sealant behind the 1×4.
  11. Paint the 1×4 and flashing.
  12. After the paint has dried, seal the top of the 1×4 to the siding. Here you will have some nice sized gaps, so make sure you fill them well.
  13. Clean up your mess and we can move on to the next step.

Earlier we talked about minimizing the amount of water that flows onto this roof. There was approximately 400 square feet of roof water being dumped onto the roof below. In order to stop this we needed to reroute the second story water into gutters and down spouts leading the water away from this area. This is probably the most important step. I will create another post on gutter installation. After you have installed gutters and downspout your job is complete and you can now enjoy a nice dry house!

There are some fresh changes that have swept through building planning commission recently in our district. The council is now considering some new pallets and colors to revive the heritage and roots in area. This new development has given many home owners on our street to start looking for exterior and roof painting services. Here are some key ideas for restoring the roof tiles with some excellent roof paint of your choice.

The roof tile painting is one of the home maintenance rituals that you must do after a few years, especially if you are living in some high rain or wind area like beach front. The roof paint needs to be reliable to stay sturdy in the strong sun and bad weather. Everyone is noticing he arrival of the dead cheap brands in market often given at almost half the rate you might have paid before, are they any good? Well the answer is simple; you get what you pay for. If you buy some non reliable brand the results can be some what compromise too. For a roof restoration alternative click here.

The exact color match after applying and the staying power can only be found in the reliable paint brands. If you have a few weeks you can try the simple paint test on your own to get to same findings too, try the two different brands on two tiles, and put it in the roof for a few weeks. Don’t forget to write the brand names under the tiles, now after the few weeks the results will start to show. The cheap brands often give away after a few rains and often get damaged quite faster.

The search for paint however has some other important areas attached too, including the heat reflection that can not be over looked. You should also match the paint brand with the type of tiles you have on the roof also, find if there are concrete, terra cotta, or ceramic tiles and search the paint accordingly.

The heat reflective paints are great find if you are living in some area where sun exposure is quite a lot. It is estimated that you can almost save 40 percent of energy cost by using the heat reflective tiles and isolation alone, not bad idea to try especially considering the rise in energy costs these days.

The one major benefit of using a reliable brand is that you can be sure of its being environmentally friendly too. The traditional paint pellet used to consider many earthen Ingredients in them hence the reliable results for centuries. If you can find the close replacement in here the results can be just as sturdy too.

There are two types of electricians that offer their services; residential electrician and the commercial electrician. The residential one handles problems in the home, and services for the home, and the commercial one deals with commercial businesses. Some business owners retain the services of a commercial company that offers various services for businesses and by using one, business owners can keep their business running and safe, but using these electrical professionals can also help save that owner a lot of money that can actually be put back into the business.

Energy-Efficient Lighting For Businesses Has Its Benefits

One big way that a commercial electrician in Scottsdale, Arizona can help to cut costs is to offer the business owner a more energy-efficient way to keep their business lit. Here are some reasons why business owners can think about hiring a professional to work on their lighting systems, and there really are a lot of benefits to businesses that switch to energy-efficient lighting:

• Lower electrical bill every month: Businesses may be open every day seven days a week for up to 12 hours at a time or more depending on the goods and service that they offered. During that time, the lights will be on, and that can add up to huge electric bills. However, a commercial electrician can install lights that can still provide lights, but will reduce the energy used, which will mean a reduced electrical bill.

• A lower temperature in the business: When a business contains a lot of light bulbs, those bulbs can put out a lot of heat. A fully lit business can have a large number of light bulbs, and each one is going to get hot. With so many light bulbs, the temperature inside the store is going to go up, and to keep both customers and employees cool, business owners will keep the air conditioner running.A hot store will keep customers away, but running the air conditioner is not only hard on the unit, but will cost a lot of money. By using energy-efficient lighting, a store will still be as bright as it was, cooler to be in, but the owner will pay a lot of less to their utility companies.

• Businesses may qualify for energy rebates: Installing green lighting can also be beneficial because that business may be offered incentives such as rebates or even tax credits.

• Bulbs will have to be replaced less often: Commercial electricians will take out the regular light bulbs that the business used as lighting and replace them with special green bulbs. The filaments in regular light bulbs can blow often, which will mean replacing and throwing away light bulbs. The energy-efficient bulbs are guaranteed to last year’s, which will mean to not have to constantly change out bulbs and throw away the broken remnants.

There are electricians that work in people’s homes, and commercial electricians that handle just working on businesses. A commercial electrician can meet with a business owner and talk about what they can do for them, which can include saving that owner a lot of money on their electrical costs by changing out their bulbs for energy-efficient bulbs that will require less electricity to light and help in keep the costs down of running a business.

The Macbook Pro is among the commonly used types of computers because they are quite advanced in features hence functionality. They however still face all kinds of issues in relation to the hardware and the software. The issues can be as a result of anything and whereas you will be covered by your warranty in some of the issues, you will find that some are not covered and hence you will require proper repair services to fix the issue at hand.

Water damage is probably one of the most common issues that people face with the Macbook Pro. You could be busy working with the computer only to tip over a glass of water onto it thus leaving it damaged. A small amount of water is enough to bring problems with the Macbook Pro just like most other devices and without proper knowledge of how to handle the situation, you will find yourself in need of repair services.

Luckily, Macbook water damage can easily be corrected by repair professionals today. They are services which are more affordable than buying a new Macbook Pro and you will therefore find many people in search of the best services. The repair professionals will in most cases begin by conducting a diagnosis on the computer to assess the extent of the water damage. From this point, they are in a position to tell the best solution for the issue at hand. Depending on the damage caused, the repairs could be anything from minor to replacement of some of the parts.

This means therefore that the repair charges will differ depending on the damage which also means that the repair period could differ as well. While some of the water damage issues can be resolved within a few hours, some will require extensive work taking a few days to repair. After the diagnosis, the repair professionals will of course give you all the details that you need about the damage, the solution and the time it might take to repair your Macbook Pro.

It is important that you search for the best repair shop to handle your computer for best results. Only professionals will fetch you the results you are expecting. Apart from the repairs, the other way of cutting your expenses on damages is to ensure that you know the right care and maintenance for the Macbook Pro. It could save you lots of money that you could have otherwise spent on the repairs or purchase of a new computer.

Having a debt sent to collections is never fun. Aside from the additional fees that typically get tacked on to a debt once it is sold to a collections agency, the methodologies employed by many collections agencies in an attempt to recover a debt such as persistent contact, threats, and menacing letters make for an all around miserable experience.

Along with the hassle of having to deal with a collections agency, having a debt sent to collections also has another negative and often times longer lasting consequence: a lowered credit score. On top of the late payments that have probably already been recorded on your credit reports, when a debt is sent to collections, this may also be recorded on your credit reports and can have a very serious effect on your score.

Fortunately, you may be able to get this collections account removed from your credit reports much sooner than it would fall off naturally if you were to simply wait the 7 years for it to fall off naturally.

Collections agencies have the ability to hurt your credit score by adding negative items to your credit reports, but they really don’t have any interest in your credit score beyond that. They know you care about your credit score and will use it as another tool to get what they want, however, unlike lenders or credit card companies who use your credit score to determine interest rates, a collections company’s interest in your score doesn’t go beyond its utility as a method of coercion. Put simply, once a collections agency gets their money, they don’t have an interest in your credit score.

This is an advantage for you because you may be able to bargain for a better credit score. Before paying off a delinquent debt to a collections agency, or any other creditor who has added negative items to the credit bureaus, try to negotiate a payment for deletion. In exchange for paying off your debt, request that the collections agency remove any negative items they have added to your credit reports. They have the power to do so (anyone who says otherwise is either mistaken or trying to mislead you), and since they are more interested in getting their money than the condition of your credit file, you may find that collections agencies are more responsive than you would think. Just make sure to get any arrangements in writing in case they drop the ball and you need proof of the deal.

Even if you are unable to arrange a payment for deletion, you may still be able to get late payments, collections, and other negative items removed from your credit reports. Taking advantage of a myriad of consumer protection laws, there are a number of credit repair methods you can use to try getting damaging information deleted from your credit reports. You can work to repair your credit yourself or with the assistance of one of the many reputable credit repair companies such as Eastpoint Recovery Group providing services today.

The question of stem cells happens to be one of the dominant subjects in the debate over biotechnology and human genetics: Should we use embryonic stem cells or adult stem cells for future medical therapies?

So what are Stem Cells, Exactly?

It’s appropriate here to sketch the characteristics of stem cells, and also the overthrow of some dogmas of developmental biology. Broadly speaking, a stem cell is one that-in the course of cell division and rise in the amount of cells – is able to reproduce itself and also mature into various specialized kinds of cells.

Embryonic cells are obtained from a growing embryo in the blastocyst stage, destroying the embryo, a developing human life. Adult cells, however, are found in most tissues of the growing human being and, based on latest reports, also have the possibility to transform themselves into practically other cell types, or revert to being stem cells with greater reproductive capacity. Embryonic cells have yet to be used for even one therapy, while adult stem cells have already been successfully used in numerous patients, including for cardiac infarction (death of an area of the heart tissue).

These cells are of wide interest for medicine, simply because they have the possibility, under suitable conditions, to build up into almost all of the different types of cells. They should therefore be able to repair damaged or defective tissues (for instance, destroyed insulin-producing cells in the pancreas). Most of the so-called degenerative diseases, for which you will find as yet no effective therapies, could then be alleviated or healed.

The cell with the greatest potential (totipotential) may be the fertilized ovum, which is effective at developing right into a complete organism. Tissue-specific stem cells have the ability – as may be impressively demonstrated in experiments with animals – to “transdifferentiate” themselves when in a different environment – that is, to take on the cell functions of the new tissue. Thus, neuronal cells of mice have transformed themselves into blood stem cells and then produced blood cells.

Indeed, you will find indications of some other capability of adult stem cells: Apparently they have the potential to become “reprogrammed.” Not only can they adjust to the particular conditions of the new tissue environment, but they can even assume more generalized, earlier levels of development, so that it even appears entirely possible that they become totipotent again.

It has been noted for about 30 years that these cells can be found within the tissue from the adult, but it was assumed that they could only form cells of a particular tissue. That is, reprogramming them was considered impossible. Recently, however, pluripotent stem cells were found in a variety of human tissues – in the spinal-cord, within the brain, within the mesenchyme (connective tissue) of various organs, and in the blood from the umbilical cord. These pluripotent cells can handle forming several cell types – principally blood, muscle, and nerve cells. It has been possible to recognize, select, and develop them to the point that they form mature cell types with the help of growth factors and regulating proteins.

It is becoming clear from transplantation experiments with animals, that stem cells of a particular tissue can develop into cells of a different kind. Thus, bone marrow cells have been induced to become brain cells, but additionally liver cells.

Once you know how your natural renewal system works, it’ll become obvious for you why increasing the number of circulating adult stem cells has become the best thing you can do to maintain optimal health. This exciting information was discovered so recently that most people – even many doctors – don’t know about it yet!

Essentially, some tips about what happens when a necessity develops within your body…

1. The tissue or organ in need of assistance sends chemical messengers out to the bloodstream,
2. These chemical messengers then prompt the release of cells from the bone marrow.
3. While another group of chemical messengers sent through the tissue in need of assistance prompts the circulating stem cells to…

a. Migrate to the tissue
b. Profilerate ( make more) and
c. Then transform themselves into healthy cells of this tissue.

This information is very exciting but where to from here for the average person in the street? A company was formed in 2005, headquartered in the USA, and are now trading in 14 countries, that has developed a patent pending product that assists you to maintain optimal health. The company is marketing the products through the MultiLevel Marketing concept where distributors are reported to be making substantial incomes from their downlines. People like yourself are reporting amazing results after a short period of time taking the capsules daily.

Could this be the next big thing to hit the medical world? The company cannot give any guarantees that their product will cure anything, but suggest that people try the product and see what results they get.

Working with an SEO consultant to increase your site’s visibility can get very expensive very quickly, unless there is a clear strategy outlined at the start, and clear deliverables expected at the conclusion of the project. As with any form of consulting, finding an affordable and talented SEO consultant depends not only on that consultant’s rates, but on their ability to keep costs in line, and deliver and end product that justifies the size of their fees to begin with. Here are some tips on how to find an affordable SEO consultant for your business.

Tip #1: Request multiple quotes. There are many SEO consultants on the web who offer a free consultation, and you should take the opportunity to ask them a number of questions and pin them down on specifics before they even develop an estimate.

Tip #2: Challenge them on benchmarking. A smart SEO consultant should have more to offer you than just an SEO strategy for your site. They should be able to explain to you how they will measure success, and how they will establish benchmarks at the beginning of a project and that future checkpoints, so that you can see exactly what kind of traffic has come to your site and how that is attributed to the optimization changes that you decide to implement. If your SEO is worth his or her salt, they will help you establish a return-on-investment calculation so that you will have a framework to compare the cost of the SEO consulting services (and the resulting website development costs) to the increased business you expect to get from increased traffic. There is no reason to make a marketing investment if it won’t have a return, whether that is an investment in advertising, or in SEO consulting services. If you talk to any consultant who doesn’t understand this request and is not interested in answering it, then look elsewhere.

Tip #3: Ask for a Market Sizing Estimate. Let’s say an SEO consultant is going to advise you on how to optimize your site for 5 particular keywords. Selecting those keywords should be part of the SEO research process, so you may not know what they are, but the consultant should be able to give you an example of what types of keywords you can compete for in your industry, and the amount of traffic that goes along with them. This knowledge should enable them to do a “sizing” exercise, estimating for you not only the amount of traffic that a ranking for the keywords will bring, but also an estimate of the business value of that traffic. What is it worth to you to have 1000 more people per day arrive at your site? You can collaborate with the consultant on this question, but they should not avoid this question if they are serious professionals pitching for your business.

You possess the complete freedom to move from here and there at any point of time. Cost effective measures are highly significant for making a business successful. The first step to success is attaining rented houses.

A roof has two functions: Insulation and drainage. The insulation protects the house or any establishments not only from the weather, but also from the noise and birds.

The roof serves as the drainage of, for instance, the snow that is accumulated at the top of your roof or maybe the rainfall. Gutters are installed to lead the water caused by rain or melted snow towards the ground so that it will not interrupt with the ventilation of your house. If gutters are not installed, the water may run down the walls of your house or building or may seep inside your property.

The roofing of an establishment varies on different climates and the type of establishment that you have. For commercial establishments, they usually have flat roofs because it is the simplest roof to build; the simpler, the lesser it costs. The hip roof is commonly for residential houses; this roof has four slopes, which could be both square and rectangular in shape. On the other hand, an A-frame roof is commonly used for churches, cottages or other types of homes; this kind of roof serves as the roof and wall for the whole infrastructure. There are so many types of roofs. You can choose any of those for your house, but keep in mind the compatibility of the roof to your house.

Aside from having different types of roofs, the materials used for roofing also varies from the design of the roof and the kind of place that you live in.

Alike other things, the roof of your house or any establishment can also be damaged by certain causes like storms, cyclones, heavy rain and etc. If it is not attended properly, you might as well need to change the materials such as clay tiles, asphalt shingles, concrete tile, metal, slate, wood shingles or any type of roof that you have, and this will need an expensive cost. We want our roofing to last, so here are a few tips on proper installation and maintenance.

Find the Right Materials

When getting the right materials for your roof, you should invest on materials which can: last long, protect the house from natural disasters, not too heavy for the roof framing, should complement the style of the house or building and if it is allowed by local building codes.

Installing the Roof Deck Protection

It is best if you would hire a roof contractor. You cannot do this process by yourself, you’re going to need experienced and trained roof contractors for the proper installation of the roof. The roof deck protection prevents wind-driven rain from getting inside your shelter, another reason why you need it installed is so that your shingles would lay flat and neat.

Installing Leak Barriers

Your roof should have a leak barrier especially in the edges where it is prone to leakage. This should be done to reduce the risks of having your roof damaged.

Installing Shingles

It is important to nail your shingles in the right angle. Installing the first line of your roof shingles should be done with no error because it serves as the base of the other shingles that are to be installed. It should have a strong base to prevent it from being damaged when a storm comes.

Installing Flashing

Flashing is another material to protect the water from seeping into your roof. It is commonly placed on areas where it is prone to leakages like valleys and vent pipe.

When you are busy, you cannot really give time to inspect your roof for damages. When it comes to roof maintenance, you should hire a roof contractor. You can’t just climb up to your roof and do the inspection yourself. These trained roof contractors know how to do the job in a proper way. They are provided with safety gears and right materials to determine if your roof has damages or has a potential to breakdown after a storm. With regular care and maintenance, you can save money than letting your roof take the damage, which may be expensive.

Improper installation of your roof as well as neglectful maintenance of it does not only lowers its market value but most importantly, endangers the whole family from any untoward incidents later on. So don’t think twice, get the help of a roof repair expert in your area.

Everyone can face Financial Difficulties at some point of their lives. Financial difficulties can be the result due to various reasons. Some of them could be:

  • Health problems
  • Market changes
  • Family member death
  • Rising Mortgage payments
  • Job loss
  • Divorce
  • Medical bills

You name it, it can be anything. But when financial difficulties arise, the thought of losing a home is unbearable and we find ourselves stressed and under pressure. Most of us would soon lose our cool and start panicking. Life is not always easy or fair. But the good news is that you do have a solution.

Do not get nervous yet, you do have options to stop or avoid Foreclosure like real estate investors who buy houses fast, mortgage refinancing, loan modification, to name just few.

You need to understand what Foreclosure is and what to expect.

When you purchased your home, most likely you took out a home loan. Two parties are involved in the buying home side: you (the mortgagor) and the lender (the mortgagee). You own the home, and the mortgagee holds a lien on the property until the mortgage is paid off. In the event that you cannot make your mortgage payments, this security interest (i.e. a lien on the property) gives your lender the right to foreclose and auction off your house and keep the proceeds in order to recover its investment and assume ownership of the property. The process by which the lender assumes ownership is called Foreclosure. In case your property cannot be sold for what is owed, a deficiency judgment could be pursued against you. Both a foreclosure and a deficiency judgment could seriously affect your ability to qualify for credit in the future.

Some states use a deed of trust, and that serves the same purpose as a mortgage but actually involves more parties: you, the lender, and a third party who holds the temporary title on the home until the full balance is paid. In this foreclosure process, the trustee – the third party – will be selling your home when you become delinquent. The difference between deeds of trust and the mortgages is that if there is a mortgage, the foreclosure has to be processed through the court system and with a deed of trust, the foreclosure will be done through a court system, but mainly with the help of a third party – the trustee.

In Georgia, the Foreclosure process begins when the homeowner fails to make payments of the money due on the mortgage at the appointed time. This may be due to any of the reasons mentioned in How to Stop Foreclosure section and more. This is a way to enforce payment of the debt secured by a mortgage and take and sell the estate. The goal for you, borrowers, and lenders is to seek a compromise – for you to keep the home, the lender to keep receiving mortgage payments. But you do not need go through this process, you can sell your house in several days (this is true, you just need to find investor who can buy fast) and be worry-free.

Foreclosure process typically starts with a formal demand for payment which is usually a letter issued from the lender. This letter of notice is known as a Notice of Default (NOD). Usually the lender will issue this notice when the homeowner has been 3 months delinquent on the mortgage payments. This notice is a threat to sell your property, terminate all your rights in that property and evict you from the premises. Generally, after the court announces a foreclosure, your home will be auctioned off to the highest bidder.

However, you may redeem the property by paying the purchase price (including interest), the foreclosure costs, and the purchaser’s expenses in maintaining and operating the property within 180 days after the house is sold. You have to file a notice no less than two days and not more than thirty with the sheriff to redeem your house.

Most real estate professionals flunk within the first few months of trying to create a business enterprise out of real estate investing. The trick begins with a beneficial marketing plan and then practicing a disciplined effort to the marketing plan on a even basis. There is a lot more required to succeed, and you will encounter more tips, tricks and unique real estate marketing techniques in this article.

Is there anyone in your town that doesn’t recognize that you buy homes or that you are a real estate professional? If so, you aren’t performing as well at marketing or rendering real estate investing information about your real estate investing business enterprise as well you could be. I find out real estate investors telling all the time that they aren’t receiving seller phone calls and subsequently aren’t receiving the leads they need to find the real estate business deals they require to earn a living. I say increase the marketing and the sellers will Call. Not only that but if you are canvassing the world (or at least your area) that you buy problem real estate holdings, eventually you will be acknowledged for what you do and sellers will telephone you strictly on your reputation. this is what is called cost effective marketing.

One real estate professional was in a home, garden and hardware store a few calendar weeks ago and went past a couple of guys in an aisle. A conversation was heard while he walked by, I overheard one state, “That is the real estate man”. Now I had never known either of those men and have no idea who they are but that experience lets me acknowledge that I must be doing my business at letting the world to recognize my business is buying real estate in that area. There are many ways to let the area know that you are in the real estate investing profession and getting information out there that helps people realize you buy foreclosures, distressed real estate, do real estate short sales and have got a lot of real estate information and experience to flip properties. Some methods are cheap and some are more expensive. You are going to have to attempt many things and acquire a feel for what brings about for you the best results in your region to get the calls you require to transact real estate deals. I have tried many forms of marketing methods for real estate commercial enterprises of all varieties and have come back to a few that consistently create enough leads for me to purchase the 2 or 3 real estate holdings and houses I want to purchase every single calendar month. They are as follows:

Classified Ads

The classified advertisement in the most prominent newspaper in the region is by far the heaviest producer of leads for local real estate investors that I have determined. I understand it is costly and I understand there are instances it does not generate phone calls but if you are going to persist in the real estate investing business sector just place it in there and leave it. Get used to it making up part of the toll of performing the real estate business. You may expend about $350.00 a calendar month for my 4 line ad and that is the commercial range. I’d consider running it 365 days a year to constantly cue everyone that you are a real estate professional and you purchase real estate in their region.

Over the past few or so years I have watched many “real estate investor” ads come and go. Most folks put them in for a many or even just a couple of calendar weeks and then remove them or try just placing them in on the week ends. Real Estate Marketing just simply does not work this way. Put your real estate ad in the paper and leave it in there. It will more than make up for the price, trust me, and you will see after you finish your first deal. If you are distressed because there are real estate investors ads from many other investors in there, don’t be. They are there because they are getting responses. Just be sure to and actually answer your cell phone and keep it on all the time otherwise you’ll be squandering money.

When a fresh ad for real estate investor information shows up in my newspaper, I will always call on the advertisement. 9 times out of 10 I get a message device or answering service. This is a significant turn off to somebody who needs a resolution to their real estate trouble now. They want to speak to a person who can quiet their anxiety over their current issues with their home and tell them everything is going to be ok. Your answering device won’t do that, they need a human being. As for what to put in the advertising, you will have to work on this one. I have tried various idea and the one I have now hast not changed for over 4 years. I haven’t switched it because I get responses. My ad is:

We Pay CASH FOR HOMES In 24 Hours! Any area, price or condition Call xxx-xxx-xxxx

Now I have had other real estate professionals jockey for place and interchange their ad copy to be leading of mine in the column but it has not made whatsoever difference, at least as far as I can discern. Don’t worry about those things, just get the advertising out there and leave it. It could possibly take a bit of time, perhaps a several weeks to get going but sellers will telephone. As soon as you have your classified advertising running, then you should start working on your other marketing techniques right away. If you only go through one idea a week, within a few weeks or a couple of months you will have a significantly powerful real estate purchasing process.

Ads in the “Freebie” Papers

You might also run advertisements in the freebie papers in your local region or the region you want to conduct real estate investment deals. These are the “Thrifty Nickel”, or whatever they are named in your region. We run both a column ad and a display in this newspaper and expend about $175.00 or so a calendar month for these ads. They pull in seller leads reasonably well and have always rationalized the costs. Remember that these guys are usually open to talking terms on your rates and you will probably get a better rate if you commit to a longer advertising agreement.

Bandit Signs or Road Signs.

Bandit signs are great. They are some of the best lead producing tools around. I have yet to put out a bunch and not be bombed with calls right after I arranged my marketing. I just don’t position them out that often. I might place out a few to a half dozen or so a calendar month and the ones that continue and don’t get taken down continue to pull in phone calls. At an average price of less than $4.00 per sign, they are one of the greatest real estate marketing and advertising values available. Check the net for sign manufacturers for discount signage costs. I use 18 x 24 signs and set them at high traffic crossings around the town I wish to purchase houses in.

I also position a sign in the front yard immediately after purchasing any house. I have purchased several homes in the same regions as a result of marketing this way.

You can either use wood stakes or the wire stakes with your signs. I like the wood stakes because they do not bend like the wire ones, in addition, they are more less expensive and you can find just about any reasonably sized stick of wood or stake at your local hardware store for a really good value. Just get long lengths and trim down to fit. Then just nail the sign to it with the roofing nails with the orange or green plastic tops or you can use screws. There are many variants on what the wording on the sign can say. Keep in mind that traffic will be moving so you want to keep your message short and simple so it may be read. Plus your telephone number must be big, large and easy to read.

If you search the sign advertisement content, you will discover that it is same resemblance my paper ad. I like to brand my advertising because I believe that helps with identification that is probably why the two guys noticed me as a Real Estate Professional..You want to have contrast, so a white sign with dark blue letters usually is the best draw. Some folks swear by black on yellow or black on orange. Again, I say it’s not what or how you say it rather simply that you’re out there marketing and placing out signs that counts. You’ll build a ‘brand image over time if you stay logical with your real estate marketing endeavors. When dealing with bandit signs, be sure that your local code enforcement laws are aware of them. In some areas or counties they can lax on them but a few miles down the road in another county or city, they can be super strict and will ticket you in a minute, pull the signs down and lead off looking for your next posters to go after you again. Some retail merchants in high tax areas can’t put out any A board signage without having them sized and then fined.

Flyers and Bulletin Board Postings

Flyers and related collateral are another cheap way to get the word out that you are a real estate investor buy property, foreclosures or distressed properties. Just create a flyer with any one of the free on-line flyer software internet sites telling people that your are a real estate investor and how to get in touch with you. Make copies for few cents apiece and you have some really inexpensive real estate marketing and advertising. It really is that simple. Then place these flyers on every bulletin board in your Town or region you would like to buy your property, foreclosure or distressed home.. I also recommend that you place some of them in those plastic sheet shielders so the rain won’t ruin them and put them up on phone poles around neighborhoods I like to buy property in.. While not as prominent as the bandit signs, on poles actually in the neighbourhood they still attract phone calls. I carry a file with me in my automobile and put them up whenever I stop at a grocery store or major discount shop or really wherever. Some of the other area to put them are:

· Laundromats
· Taped to the inside of telephone Booths.
· On the counter of any business organization that will let you place them at.
· Bulletin boards at any local or major rebate store (lots of traffic)
· Grocery store bulletin boards
· Fax to Mortgage agents, call first
· Fax to Real Estate Agents, call first and they may get a lot of these.
· Take them Door to Door in target regions
· Employment centre Bulletin board
· County Courthouse or public office Bulletin board

These are just a few illustrations. Any place that will allow you to set one is a good place. You can never let too many people know that you are a real estate investor and are in the foreclosure market.

Imprinted and/or Promotional Items

Optimum Real Estate Investor Marketing Ideas – These no-lose ideas are sure to get you top hits on leads and calls for your Real Estate Investing occupation.

These are some of my favourites and most fun. While they are not the top producers of leads or the least costly, they will sure position you apart from the average investor.

Pen Knives – These tiny Swiss army knives are the neatest things. They are actually key chains etched with your content, mine being: WE BUY HOMES – All cash or take over payments within 24 hours! Call xxx-xxx-xxx I assure if you give one of these to somebody they will hold on to it it and if they conceive of selling, they will think of you. They are about $1.75 each.

Key Chains – I give these to all my buyers with the keys to their new house on them and leave them all over the place. They come in the shape of a house or #1 or whatever style you like and have your message on them. You can guess what mine says. Cost – about $. 25 cents apiece.

Pens – I use these all the time. Whenever I sign a sales receipt or anything I leave my pen. I cannot tell you how many outcries I have gotten off of these things and since I often need one, I always possess one to give away. My attorney even has a supply on his closing table. I possess two types printed. One for sellers says “We Buy Homes!” and one for buyers says “Everyone Qualifies”. Cost – about $.26 cents per unit.

Coin Holders – These you hardly find anymore so everyone is surprised when I have them. I leave these things everywhere. Mine are bright yellow with blue letters and my message. Cost – about $.30 cents apiece.

I leave all of these promotional items everywhere, on the top of gas pumps, on end-cap displays in grocery stores and in department stores. I look at it this way, if I give away 100 pens, 50 knives and 50 coin holders a month, that is only a little over $100 bucks a month. That is still cheap advertising for a Long Island real estate agency. And with the money you can make in a real estate deal, it is ‘no cost’ marketing strategy. You can get any of these promotional advertising products at many major promotion marketing manufacturer, and you can find companies online as well.

Business Cards

I order business cards by the 1000’s and you should as well, there are a lot of great places online that can print up nice (and cheap) cards for you and that specialize in real estate as well. As for business cards, well, they are cheap, mine are about $50.00 for 2000, and I pass them out and leave them everywhere I possibly can. I leave my cards everywhere, in pay phones, on restaurant tables, my kids even have their own supply to pass out. Try to get a box a week out. The card doesn’t have to be fancy, in fact the simpler the better. My card is bright yellow with blue letters and says:

WE BUY HOUSES Foreclosure? Need Repairs? Bad Tenants? Divorce? CASH IN 48 HOURS! OFFERS MADE ON ALL CALLS! XXX-XXX-XXXX

Car Magnetics

Magnetics are one of those things where you spend once and get use for a long time. Mine cost about $75.00 and are yellow with blue letters. They say:

WE BUY HOUSES! FA$T CA$H XXX-XXX-XXXX

or

SELL YOUR HOME FAST WE PAY CA$H XXX-XXX-XXXX

I have gotten several deals from these signs. Remember to order a smaller set for the back of your car/truck. People have more of a chance to read the message when they are riding behind you.

According to Medicinenet abdominal pain can be classified by onset, type, and location: the onset of pain can be either sudden or gradual; the type of pain can be either constant or crampy; the location can be either localized or diffuse. Using a thermometer, check anyone suffering from abdominal pain for a fever.

Question: What are minor causes of abdominal pain?

Indigestion is the most common cause of abdominal distress in both adults and children. Indigestion results from eating too much or eating unsuitable food. It is often accompanied by heartburn, belching, and a sensation of fullness or nausea. In most cases, indigestion ceases gradually and within a few hours. Antacids may help. Indigestion does not trigger a fever.

Gastroenteritis is an inflammation of the lining of the stomach and intestinal tract. It is another common cause of abdominal pain. It can be caused by food poisoning, food allergies, or infections, for example, “stomach flu.” The pain is crampy, diffuse, and may come on suddenly. There is nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea. If the cause is infectious, there may be a fever.

Constipation is a difficulty in emptying the bowels. The pain is often sudden and may be either constant or crampy. Although the pain is usually diffuse, it can be localized to the left side of the abdomen. Constipation does not cause a fever. The pain is relieved by either passing gas and/or stool.

Irritable colon, which is also known as spastic colon or mucous colitis, is a disturbance of large intestine function. The condition is made worse by periods of emotional stress. The pain is crampy. There can be either constipation, diarrhea, or mucous stools, as well as a loss of appetite. A fever is not a symptom.

Menstrual cramps or painful menstrual periods (dysmenorrhea) are experienced by many women. Pain at ovulation or mittelschmerz (middle pain) occurs midway between periods. It can be severe; it is localized to the right or to the left lower abdomen. There is no vomiting, diarrhea, or fever. The pain usually passes in a day or two.

Question: What are the more serious causes of abdominal pain?

Sudden sharp pain that comes in waves (a condition known medically as colic) may be accompanied by vomiting, sweating, and the need to double up. Colic can be caused by several potentially serious disorders, such as intestinal obstruction; stones in the gall bladder system (biliary colic); or stones in the kidney system (renal colic).

Continuous pain, together with slight fever, tenderness of the abdomen when touched, and sometimes vomiting may be caused by inflammation of the appendix (appendicitis), colon (colitis), colon pouches (diverticulitis), or gall bladder (cholecystitis). An inflamed pancreas (pancreatitis) causes continuous pain, vomiting, and tenderness to the touch. An inflamed fallopian tube (salpingitis) causes continuous pain, lower abdominal pain, fever, and tenderness to the touch.

Continuous pain that comes on suddenly, producing tenderness of the abdomen when touched, may be caused by a perforated ulcer, an ectopic (tubal) pregnancy, or a leaking abdominal, aortic aneurysm. An abdominal aneurysm may also cause pain in the back.

Question: What other disorders include abdominal pain as a symptom?

Abdominal pain with backache and frequent, painful passing of urine suggests inflammation of the kidney (pyelonephritis) or of the bladder (cystitis). There may also be a fever. Recurrent abdominal pain may be caused by a peptic ulcer. Abdominal pain is also a symptom of inflammation of the stomach lining (gastritis) or an inflammation of the liver (hepatitis).

Question: Are children especially subject to abdominal pain?

No. But a child with infection of the middle ear (otitis media) or inflammation of the tonsils (tonsillitis) may complain of a stomachache. There may be two reasons for this: a child’s non-abdominal illness may make him or her feel queasy or nauseated; also, a child’s vocabulary may be limited to ache or pain associated in the past with abdominal pain or a stomachache.

Technology has made many possibilities available to the general public. You may have previously thought that video was only something available to large businesses with deep pockets. Actually, you can access high-quality video production services at very reasonable rates. These services are not hard to find and they can be performed in a minimal amount of time.

What Are Video Production Services?

Your local video service can do much more than hold a camera for you. No matter what your idea is for a video, they can help you carry it out from start to finish or they can just provide assistance at key points. It is all up to you.

At the very least, these businesses are required to handle the technical business of filming a video even if their creative services are not needed. There is much more to your video plans than you might think. After you have come up with the idea and written a script, you will need to prepare the setting and possibly actors. Lighting is crucial in order to make it all worthwhile. Furthermore, when your video is done, you will need someone to edit it so that the various shots come together cleanly and coherently.

You may find, however, that it is preferable to let the video production service help you from the ground up. If you just have a rough idea of what you want and do not have the time or the creativity to express it, let someone from a video service initiate the creative process for you. They can help you come up with a script, format the video, film it and edit it. When it is all finished, you will have the video package about which you were dreaming.

Who Needs Video Production Services?

A wide variety of clients may need these services. Almost any business can think up reasons to use video. While it may have been sufficient to advertise in the newspaper and the telephone book not too long ago, you need video today if you are going to keep up with the competition.

However, many government bodies and related institutions can also profit from video. For example, a college needs to be able to distribute information about itself in the form of video. Government agencies that interact directly with the public can also get out urgent messages to constituencies in this format.

The opportunities in the Tampa Bay area presented by video production services are too good to pass up. This innovative way of reaching out is profitable and fun as well. When you allow yourself to think about your business or other endeavor in this way, you open up some creative doors that can only help your business in the long run.

Never question the ingenuity of the real estate developer.

Close to 20 years ago, two of my best buddies and I decided to pool our resources after college and get an apartment of our own.

The three of us were barely able to afford a 3 bedroom apartment that was about 10 years old at the time. We paid about $500/mo. in rent. To this day, I am not sure how we could afford that apartment.

The apartment was a dump. The flooring, the kitchen and, especially, the bathrooms were so bad, that my father walked in one day with a horrified look of disgust on his face, and refused to stay. However, that was what my buddies and I called home.

Today, nearly 30 years later I am doing loans for people buying units in that same apartment complex. Today, it’s a condo conversion!!

The entire complex has been remodeled, and the units are going for nearly $175,000 a unit.

Pure genius!

You all know about condo conversions and how incredibly hot they are in the market. Low interest rates have driven new home sales through the roof and condos are no exception.

First time home buyers are flocking to get in any way they can. This has actually crippled the apartment business and is driving the biggest condominium conversion boom in 20 years.

Over 12,000 apartment units in Las Vegas are currently mapped for condo conversions. Condo developers are paying a premium to acquire and transform old apartment complexes into condos and they are doing this all across the country, especially Las Vegas and South Florida.

The developers typically search for apartment-to-condo conversions in desirable locations where they won’t directly compete with affordable entry- level homes.

They want to offer an affordable alternative to pricier single-family homes or to costlier condos in new developments.

In many cases, condo conversions provide the perfect entry-level opportunity for renters to become home owners, allowing these new property owners to build equity and realize their homeownership dream.

Transforming apartment buildings into condominiums is quicker and less risky than construction from the ground up.

Land prices have gone up so high that many developers cannot afford to build entry-level housing, so this is a great option. Home buyers then benefit because converted units are usually more affordable than new ones, and many are in choice locations. You can find some of these units advertised locally for as low as the $90’s.

Conversion developers say they can buy something for one-third of the cost that it would take to buy the vacant land and build something on it.

The beauty for the developer is that the condo conversion isn’t going to be selling for one-third of what it would cost brand new. It’s more like 75%-85% of it.

The developers usually do a pretty nice job improving the property and the units. Upgrades are usually made to the property’s exterior and common areas. Then they add on the sizzle. Granite counter tops, upgraded cabinetry and fixtures, and wood floors are often added to individual units. The upgrades are built into the condo prices.

Once the developer acquires an apartment complex, they generally convince about 10-15% of the existing renters to stay by buying a unit. They will often offer these people discounts before they ever even market to the general public.

The obvious key to selling these units to your clients is to convince buyers that they are better off owning versus renting or to get your more timid investors to jump in with less financial risk.

People have a desire to own a home. There are very few who want to rent and low interest rates have provided this opportunity.

8 St Thomas Condo conversions create more affordable housing in areas when the price for a single-family home skyrockets like we have seen throughout the country. A single family home in Las Vegas, where I live, is averaging around $300,000. That is simply not affordable for your average first-time home buyer.

Speculators and investors make up 30-50% of all condo conversion buyers. They buy these units, intending to sell them at a higher price in a short term.

Rising interest rates historically have slowed conversion activity. This slows down the appreciation as well. It’s difficult to convince someone to pay $1200 per month on a mortgage for a 1000 sq. ft condo. However, get it under $1000 and you will find buyers.

Before you invest in one of these units and plan on renting it out, or you plan to buy one to live in, you must know a few things.

Condo conversions are marketed to the very same people who rent apartments. Thirty to 50% of all condo conversion buyers are investors and speculators.

When they go to rent their units, they are competing for the very same market as the developer of the project. Why rent when you can buy? Why rent from you either?

Once cheap mortgages vanish, and rates have been rising recently as you all know, condo conversions will become riskier. When home sales slow, converters may find it harder to sell their condos.

Once 30 year interest rates hit 7% or 8%, experts say, condo conversions will cool. Today, we are at around 6.25%. The good news is condo conversions are almost the last bastion of truly affordable housing in many areas.

Here are some things to keep in mind…

Many people buying condo conversions don’t realize that the property they are buying is different from a newly constructed unit. This means the financial exposure for repairs and replacements can be much higher.

New condominiums, built from the ground up, are constructed with the building materials of today and have to conform to today’s more strict building codes.

The condition of converted condominiums can vary. An older apartment complex converted to condos could have wear and tear and may have structural faults unknown at closing. These problems can become a real hindrance later on.

Newer apartments that have been converted to condominiums in the past few years were probably constructed under the latest building codes and have new building components, mechanical systems and interior finishes. These are a safer bet and you will want to find out the year the original structure was built.

Many older buildings have been converted as well. Some converters gut an apartment building, taking it down to its “shell,” and then rebuild it, installing new plumbing, roof and mechanical systems.

Other developers simply do “cosmetic rehabs,” leaving the building components as is and merely sprucing up the property to make units more marketable.

Buyers beware. Are you buying a fully renovated building that was taken down to the shell, or are you buying a building that someone just slapped some paint on and put in a few new windows?

What about problems to the complex? Although most developers do a terrific job in converting, what if the roof needs to be repaired after a few years? Does the association have enough reserves to cover it? Many people believe condo conversion owners can expect special assessments quicker than new condo buyers.

You do have some safeguards. As a lender for condo conversion buyers, we often require an engineer’s report from the developer before we close the loan. You have a right to this document as well.

It tells you what was done to the building and the sales office can give you a copy of this if you ask.

Here are some other things you should know before buying a condo conversion:

They usually have restrictive covenants. Every condominium project has rules and restrictions that govern what unit owners can do. If you own a pet, make sure your building is pet-friendly. Do you even get a covered parking space?

Are you buying the unit as an investor to rent out? You will want to make sure the building allows rentals and the minimum term required.

If speculators cannot resell their units they will rent them out too. If there are many renters, that can create problems with condo owners in the same building and lead to maintenance issues.

Renters tend to care far less about their homes than do the home’s owner. Too many renters can destroy the complex and it’s value.

Speculators buy as much as 70% of some condominium projects. You may be moving into a building that is nearly vacant. That may not be what you had hoped for.

Once a condominium project has more than 30% of its owners that use it as a second home or as an investment property, the condos all become “non-warrantable.”

Non-warrantable condos mean the project is not insured by Fannie Mae. This means a different kind of loan for the buyer of your condo. Many banks do not loan on non-warrantable condos. We offer non-warrantable condo loans. Even though they are very competitive, even offering 100% financing, the loan programs are not quite the same as they are on a warrantable condo.

Here is a time and problem saving tip:

When you are selling a condo, of any kind, you want to make sure you or your agent contacts the Homeowner’s Association, early in the process, and asks them what percentage of the project is non-owner occupied. If it’s over 30%, you want to communicate this immediately to your buyer. He has to make sure his lender can do the loan or he may have to change lenders. It is best if you know this early.

Many condo conversions are considered non-warrantable.

The bottom line is condo conversions offer affordable housing in many areas where the first-time homebuyer and the real estate investor, who wants to take on a little less financial risk, are starting to be turned away. However, as a buyer you want to be very cautious and ask questions about the building’s history and residential make-up.

First, you can find yourself interested in translating material that you have personally written or paid for, content that belongs to your website or blog that you’d like to translate to as many other languages as possible. The appeal behind this desire is obvious- when you offer your website and its content in a variety of different languages you Localise your website. This is immediately appealing to pretty much anyone who owns a website, no matter what they goals are for that website. Whether you’re looking to make money online and want to reach a larger client base, or whether you simply have something important to say that you want to share with as many people around the world as possible, at the end of the day having your website translated is always a good idea.

In the second case there are plenty of people who are simply interested in having websites that they hear are interesting and provide valuable content translated into a language that they can understand. There are tons of people online producing fascinating and important content that can really help improve and enrich your life. Because the internet is such a global phenomenon it’s just ridiculous to assume that the only websites out there which have content that you might find necessary are going to be written in your mother tongue. Having websites from other countries translated is a great way to expand your intellectual horizons.

Which of these two website translation formats fit your desires more accurately will largely determine which form of translation service you choose to go with. If you are interested in translating your website than it pays to hire a professional translator to do the work for you. If you just use one of those free online translation services than you aren’t providing your readers with a service that they can’t provide for themselves just as easily. Besides, when translating your own work you will want to make sure the end product is as accurate and precise as possible.

When you’re just looking to translate other people’s websites than you can probably get by with an automated translation service that you can find online- something like Google Translator. These services aren’t going to provide you with the most accurate or flavorful translations, but they will provide you with a good enough interpretation of the material that you should be able to figure out the gist of what the content’s writer was attempting to express. If there is material that you’re deeply interested in and a free website translation just isn’t doing it for you than you might want to spring for a proper professional translation.

Singapore has been voted by foreign expatriates as one of the top locations to migrate to in Asia. Singapore has always prided itself for having one of the best and strictest law enforcement regulations in the region, which is why one would hardly find protests or strikes taking place on the streets. The education system in Singapore has also successfully produced many young talents who have made their names in various international platforms. Geographically, its small size has made traveling easy and convenient. What’s more, its all year round warm climate is one of the key reasons why thousands of expatriates have decided to call Singapore home. However, besides getting acquainted with the benefits of selecting Singapore as the ideal country to live in, choosing the right type of Singapore houses has been a problem for many. In fact, many locals themselves find it difficult to choose the right type of house that suits them.

There are several features that you need to look into when choosing the right type of Singapore houses to buy or rent. Namely: its location, cost and accessibility.

Choosing a good location is important to ensure that it is close to your work place, children’s schools and amenities. The closer it is to the Central Business District, the higher the expected rental or purchase cost of the house. Once you have found a location that you are comfortable with, you will then have to find out its cost, and whether or not it falls within your budget. Rental and purchase rates vary from location to location as well as the size and number of rooms the place has.

The more expensive Bungalows range from $8000 to $60,000 a month to rent, Terraced houses from $5000 to $25,000 a month, while the relatively cheaper apartments cost $2000 to $20,000 a month. Yet, if these prices are still too steep, one can always consider the more affordable Housing Development Board (HDB) flats to rent. They can start from as low as $800 to $1000 per month. So, depending on your budget, the location as well as the property’s condition, you should be able to find the type of housing you desire easily as there are many types available in Singapore today.

Many locals and foreigners favor private apartments such as Condominiums as they offer multiple facilities within the area.  Complexes like Kent Ridge Hill Residences. They range from tennis courts, bbq pits to 24-hour security services. These apartments are usually freehold but
some have 99 or 999 year leaseholds.

If you have a bigger budget, do consider getting landed houses such as Bungalows or semi-detached houses. They offer greater privacy, larger space and more access to better amenities.

However, if you are working within a tighter budget, getting a HDB flat may be the ideal choice for you. They are comparatively one of the cheapest options available, and are self-sufficient with supplementary amenities. They are usually located near prominent public transport systems, thus making traveling very convenient.

Lastly, you can also consider Executive Condominiums. They are smaller than private Condominiums but larger than the usual HDB flats. Executive Condominiums are usually sought after by young couples you are not able to afford the more expensive houses yet.

There are many different types of houses available in Singapore today. Choosing the right type of Singapore houses will require identifying your preferred location, your budget as well as other possible contributing factors to find the one you like.
